We are searching for an innovative leader to manage our Supply Chain Organization. With a focus on cost, quality, and scale, this role will be responsible for establishing world-class operating protocols. The ideal candidate is well-versed in managing specialized vendors, leading cost-reduction negotiations, mitigating risk, and lean manufacturing practices. This position requires the tact to mentor and develop others, as well as the sense of urgency and ability to get hands-on when necessary.
What You'll Do
Design and implement a supply chain that supports Synthego's business strategy, is adaptable to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and/or new cost reduction strategies
Evaluate, qualify and select suppliers globally in support of strategic business plans
Manage supplier selection process to meet quality, service, cost, risk mitigation and performance goals
Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts with suppliers, vendors, and freight providers
Implement inventory management protocols with accurate tracking in NetSuite
Develop approved vendor list for both production materials and R&D needs
Establish metrics and goals to measure and improve performance in the areas of purchasing, planning, inventory levels, product quality and on-time delivery
Liaise with suppliers to ensure stability within the supply chain and product availability at all times. Proactively communicate potential supply disruptions and contingency plans
Participate in the site audit program, ensuring compliance to all published procedures
Author and maintain SOPs for procurement and supplier qualification processes
5+ years experience managing a supply chain organization, preferably in the biotech space
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred
Experience with formal quality management systems required
Experience developing supplier scorecards, managing supplier quality reviews, and implementing supply chain metrics
Innovative, motivated, and independent leader possessing a player/coach mentality
