Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Description:
To ensure the social, emotional, and academic needs of students are met by providing streamlined processes, oversight and support for staff working in student support services.
Responsibilities:
● Provide support and supervision of Special Education staff, counselors and mental health providers, MTSS coordinator, ELD teacher
● Provide program oversight of IEPs, 504s, ALPs, and ELLPs
● Oversee MTSS implementation
● Assist counselors with CE compliance
● Serve as liaison with Douglas County School District (DCSD)
● Work with staff and families to ensure the needs of all students are identified and served
● Engage stakeholders to ensure social emotional needs of students are served
● Other duties as assigned
● Occasional lifting, five (5) to fifty (50) pounds
● Ability to stand/walk for ninety (90) minutes
● Ability to run short distances
● Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting
Qualifications:
● Master's degree in administrative leadership, Special Education, or related field
● Special Education and/or Mental Health Background preferred
● Administrative or principal license preferred
● Minimum 2-3 years experience preferred
● Occasional lifting, five (5) to fifty (50) pounds
● Ability to stand/walk for ninety (90) minutes
● Ability to run short distances
● Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting
Salary:
Salary range: $74,750 to $97,750/annual
STEM School Highlands Ranch offers employer-paid health, dental, vision (available on the 1st of the following month), short-term, long-term disability, life, and ADD (available six months from hire
date) insurance. Retirement benefits include PERA pension (substitute for social security) and 401K employee-only contribution managed through Colorado's PERA program. Other Benefits include FSA (medical and dependent care), Sick Time, PTO (based on years of service).
