The Speaker Lab is looking for a full-time Director of Student Success to help ensure our students are successful and were providing a world-class experience for those in our programs.
Everything we do at The Speaker Lab is centered around helping our students be successful as speakers. We need a top-notch educator, coach, and leader to ensure our programs are the most effective at getting our students results and doing it fast.
This position will be responsible for three distinct areas all underneath the student success and education umbrella.
Student Success Strategy
You will work closely with our founder/CEO, Grant Baldwin and the rest of the leadership team to determine the best ways to ensure success for the students of our programs at The Speaker Lab.
You are always looking for large changes and small tweaks to improve things. You are customer obsessed and pay close attention to every detail of the customer experience looking for internal inefficiencies and external improvements to increase student success and happiness levels.
You pay close attention to the needs of students and potential shifts in the speaking industry in order to provide updated education, resources and coaching to support our students (i.e. when COVID hits the speaking industry, youre responsible for making sure our students are equipped to deal with it).
Student Success Team Leader
You lead and run the entire coaching and education department for The Speaker Lab. You know that you can't do everything yourself so you love building a coaching team that loves and supports our students to be successful.
You love working with our team of coaches and support staff to ensure everyone is on the same page and delivering the best possible experience for our students. You identify and highlight student success and case studies that can be shared internally with our team and externally to encourage other students.
You are a very high output person that gets stuff done but doesnt drop balls. When you say youll do something, we never have to wonder if itll get done. Youre able to document what you do and why you do it. You can see the big picture but then understand how to break that down into smaller bites to take action on.
Student Success Operator/Coach
Youre not afraid to get in the weeds with our students and lead 1:1 and group coaching with them to ensure they are succesful. Youre regularly looking for ways to support our students on a deeper level and help them get the results they desire quicker.
You have experience in the speaking industry and can share insights and specific feedback for students not from theories or ideas but from real-world experiences as a speaker.

This role is remote and we prefer North American time zones. We operate by normal business hours, but this position is flexible and youll have some freedom in when and where youll work. Its more important to us that you accomplish certain tasks and objectives with a high level of responsiveness than needing to constantly clock in/clock out (lame).
We dont micromanage you. Rather, we expect you to be a leader. You will be a daily in-the-weeds operator as well as strategizing, leading and building your team.
Youll get a base salary but will also be compensated via profit sharing. When the business wins and grows, youll win and get a slice of the pie.
You will have a base salary and profit sharing. We will offer compensation based on your experience and skillset. You also receive the benefits of working remotely which will save thousands of dollars in commuting costs and time each year. You will also have unlimited vacation time.
