Position Summary

Life Time is growing rapidly and we are seeking a high-performing Director of Strategic Projects who will develop, analyze and deliver on several transactional projects. As a strategist, consultant, and implementer, the successful Director of Strategic Projects will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the CEO. Project work typically includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management. From there, you will implement those recommendations with client team members. The Director of Strategic Projects will work autonomously with little direction, but also closely with others in a collaborative team setting using their analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills ensuring successful projects and team performance. The role will handle day-to-day management of high profile transactions and critical real estate relationships and deals both in process and in the future. The ideal candidate for the job will have extensive experience in working with internal corporate businesses, business development, and innovation. They will contribute to organizational-wide initiatives and help drive the identification and dissemination of best practices across departments and divisions. This role will be integral to the long-term success of the company.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Provide oversight and guidance in the development, delivery, and management of projects of high importance for the CEO and executive management team

  • Facilitate communication from the office of the CEO regarding innovation and business ideas for company-wide initiatives

  • Assess external inquiries directed to the CEO and determine the proper course of action

  • Provide clarity on projects to CEO and other executives as needed

  • Coordinate meetings with external partners and internal resources to bring ideas and projects to fruition

  • Work to solve complex business problems by organizing and prioritizing critical issues and required information

  • Plan and direct real estate, financial, and operational activities for the CEO

  • Communicate strategic thoughts to C-suite team in a completed format (i.e. presentations, reports, etc.); Act as an adviser to the CEO and senior management team

  • Manage multiple projects and gather input and direction from all key stakeholders

  • Learn and develop quickly with guidance and direction from the executive team and CEO

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • MBA preferred


  • Minimum of 3 years relevant post MBA experience real estate experience highly preferred
  • 3+ years of related business experience with increasingly more senior responsibilities
  • 1+ years' experience in mergers and acquisitions highly preferred

  • Very strong business acumen, financial and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects and ability to drive to the right answers in a focused and efficient manner

  • Proven ability to problem solve and assume responsibility

  • Flexibility to travel as required by business needs

  • Interest in health and fitness industry strongly preferred
