Mission of the Role
The Director of Specialty Services mission is to effectively manage, lead and execute all Specialty Services business in this high-growth healthcare company. The Director of Specialty Services will accomplish these goals by carrying out the following core values:

In depth knowledge of all types of general anesthesia, to include: Nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, IV Sedation, Deep Sedation.
Stay up to date on all Dental and Anesthesia guidelines for the states that we operate in.
Ensure all team members, including providers, are compliant with CPR and PALS Certification.
In depth understanding of Anesthesia medication as well as proper ordering and storage of said medications.
Oversight of the entire Specialty Services program throughout each state we operate in.
Thoroughly understand dental anesthesia, dental oral surgery and general dental procedures, codes and insurance guidelines.
Ensure all anesthesia equipment is up to date on maintenance as per manufacture regulations.
Ensure policies and procedures are being maintained, daily, in each region
In depth knowledge of credentialing procedures and paperwork for Anesthesia providers and Surgery Center requirements.
Conduct spot audits of general anesthesia charts to ensure the proper billing and documentation.
Create a monthly coverage schedule for specialty services assistants to ensure they are covering in a practice on non-surgery days.
Follows all compliance protocols and updates offices when new protocols take effect.
Maintain inventory controls for all general anesthesia medications.
Ensure the specialty services manual is up to date and keep all paperwork current.
Oversee and lead a team of 10+ employees.
Approving all provider and team lead payroll; maintain good relationship with anesthesiologist & vendors
Routine 1X1's with all coordinators in each state.
Provide regular interview training and coaching skills with all Oral Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, RN and Dentists.
Conduct regular training of all specialty services procedures to current and new team members and new locations.
Models compassionate attitude when working with patients and teammate who come from and array of background and live circumstances
Work closely with compliance to ensure Specialty Services program is meeting requirements.
Work with Anesthesia providers as well as GA coordinators to ensure GA dates are booked and updated in the GA schedule.
Transport materials and/or equipment to different locations as needed.
Work with Practice Leaders and Team Leads to ensure each office understands the process for placing orders with vendors.

3+ years' experience in managing a regional team
Bachelors' Degree from an accredited University of College, or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of EagleSoft or E-Clinical Works
In depth knowledge of Dental Specialty Services (dental general anesthesia and/or oral surgery)
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Dental billing and coding knowledge
This position requires full range of body motion.
