Job Summary

Job Summary

The Director of Special Education is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of procedures and programs related to overall Special Education services. As such, the Director is responsible for the implementation and management of Special Education programs and services in conformance to District and State objectives; providing written support and/or conveying information; serving as a resource to other school personnel, the Board, SELPA, and other districts; and maintaining adequate staffing in a fiscally responsible manner to ensure objectives of programs and services are achieved within budget.

Prior teaching experience with increasing levels of administrative responsibility in Special Education with satisfactory job performance or evaluation.
