  • 15+ years of experience in the field of consulting, business intelligence and/or software deployment with consumer sector experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or MBA is preferred

You'll be based in either New Jersey, Atlanta, Chicago, or Waltham, MA and work with our Periscope by McKinsey team as a Director of Solution Delivery for our Americas Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) practice.

What You'll Do

You will manage all client development and delivery of services to clients and will work closely with Periscope and Marketing & Sales leadership to shape and successfully drive the delivery of a portfolio of projects from end to end.

You will be a part of the Periscope leadership team in the Americas and oversee Solution Delivery for our CPG products/sector. In this role, you'll leverage our ventures teams, expertise, and firm assets to serve clients and create sustainable impact. You'll do so by shaping and delivering a portfolio of projects across different stages of their life-cycle.

You'll also contribute to problem-solving sessions with the project team, client representatives as well as McKinsey consultants on a regular basis. When necessary, you will also serve as the escalation point for all three groups. You will work closely with clients and McKinsey practice leaders to ensure the tools and service offerings deliver on client requirements.

Additionally, you'll work closely with leadership to drive process improvements in the organization by implementing and rolling-out project management best practices. You will act as an evangelist for strong project management discipline in the client service organization overall, leading by example and coaching team members on such things as budget management, work plan development, risk management/mitigation and ongoing project governance.

The Society, under the auspices of NEJM Group, publishes the New England Journal of Medicine, a leading global medical journal and web site, and NEJM Journal Watch alerts and publications covering 12 specialties. We are currently seeking a Solution Designer, Digital Analytics to work in our Waltham, MA office. The Solution Designer, Digital Analytics is a key member of the Digital Analytics delivery team that supports digital analytics capabilities for multiple NEJM Group product lines and programs. The Solution Designer acts both as an internal consultant regarding analytics collection and reporting, and as a hands-on member of the solutions delivery team -- collaborating with the team to research, implement, test, and troubleshoot digital analytics tools and operations across our web and email products. The Solution Designer coordinates with product leads to understand business goals and to research, recommend, and deliver solutions. Working closely with the digital analytics product owner and other members of the Digital Analytics agile team, the Solution Designer will also help to drive best practices and continuously improve our techniques for collecting and analyzing metrics about NEJM Group digital properties. The successful candidate will have proven experience working with web and email metrics, a deep understanding of the elements and structure of modern web site page code, and a passion for data analysis and creative, hands-on problem-solving. Responsibilities: * Work with product managers and technical teams to understand analytics requirements, and create detailed technical specifications, requirements materials, and other documentation to support implementation and testing. * Lead digital analytics implementations, working closely with business teams and our vendor development partner, based on priorities set by the team's product owner. * Analyze changes and enhancements requested by product teams and return recommendations that align with enterprise-level metrics and analytics best practices. * Deliver solutions that are comprehensive, creative, elegant, and extensible, and that will support the kinds of reporting needed to drive business decisions. * Create and maintain data-collection mechanisms (such as analytics tagging and data imports) to maximize the quality and accuracy of analytics data. * Take ownership of issues and bugs affecting existing analytics implementations, work independently to understand the root cause of the problem, and deliver fixes in a timely way. * Stay current about industry trends around analytics, especially capabilities of the Adobe Analytics platform. Required Experience * Minimum 3 years of experience working with data and web metrics. * At least 2 years of experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS. Other coding languages, front-end development, or tag-management experience a plus. * Proficiency with Adobe or Google Analytics and with tag management is a plus; experience with Adobe Analytics is strongly preferred. * Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Able to work independently as well as within a highly collaborative agile team setting. * Experience with the full suite of Adobe Marketing Cloud products (Target, Audience Manager, Campaign, Tag Manager/Launch) is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Experience in publishing or media is highly desirable.
