What you'll do

As the Director of Shopper Marketing, you will report to the SVP of Marketing and work closely with the Marketing Activation team to build the shopper marketing capability, which includes coaching and developing the team and developing/executing best-in-class shopper programs at major mass, grocery, club, drug and convenience retailers that builds brand equity, drives sales and increases profitability. Your team will turn category, retailer and shopper insights into strategic, actionable plans that consider the shopper's full path to purchase and how to best drive household penetration, frequency and buy rate.

Development and Execution of National Strategic Shopper Marketing Platforms and Initiatives

  • Partner with the Brand Communications Team, Innovation Team, Digital Marketing Team and Communication Team to build National Consumer Promotions & Activations that align with broader KIND strategies and goals

  • Lead development of breakthrough creative solutions with agency partners

  • Represent the shopper's point of view with executives and key stakeholders in customer planning meetings and business reviews

  • Communicate persuasively to win support of cross functional partners and key retail customers

Development & Execution of Retailer-specific Shopper Marketing Plans & Initiatives

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Marketing and Business teams to develop and execute retailer-specific programs that address business gaps/opportunities at top retailers and drive shopper excitement and engagement

  • Scope includes top customers across Mass, Grocery, Club, Drug and Convenience

  • Penetrate top retailers across multiple layers and functions to develop strong and collaborative relationships

Own and Manage National Shopper and Retailer-Specific Marketing Budgets

  • Work closely with Finance and Sales leads to allocate funding to customers

  • Track, monitor, optimize and analyze shopper marketing executions; quickly disseminate results and prove return on investment to optimize future spend

You have

  • 7+ years of CPG experience, preferably in food/beverage industries

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field; MBA Preferred

  • An entrepreneurial mindset

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, including senior management

  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of customer data/metrics

  • People leadership/management experience required

  • Ability to travel and manage internal and external direct reports
