About The Opportunity

Position Summary

Responsibility for the daily operations of multiple ORBIS Reusable Packaging Management (RPM) facilities. ORBIS RPM manages all types of reusable packaging, from containers/dunnage to pallet systems to metal racks. This role will oversee talent, WMS, warehouses including 3PL, inventory, customer relationships and contracts, etc.

Essential to this Position

Provides leadership in executing customer contracts while ensuring safety, quality, service, efficiency, and profitability.

  • Continuously monitor any concern for employee safety

  • Set metrics relating to daily work output as well as improvement of both process and cost

  • Manage Service Center operations, including hiring and development of staff

  • Work with employees to generate SOP and function with best practices to maintain product quality and the accuracy of inventory and shipments

  • Maintain proper labor and production levels that meet both customer expectations and the financial and operational objectives of ORBIS

  • Lead process change initiatives including enhancements to create improved efficiencies

  • Continuously and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to be on call in emergency situations including either employee or building emergencies

  • Oversee inventory reporting accuracy into SmartTrak by Service Center employees

  • Generate data needed for monthly invoices to customers

  • Research and source vendors for necessary equipment and supplies

  • Serve as part of the ORBIS RPM Leadership Team and maintains productive relationships with other members of the Leadership Team

  • Maintain a strong connection with the overall business strategy

  • Other duties as assigned
