Director of Sales, Drilling ServicesRemoteCompany:  Industry leading organization expanding globally in drilling services sector.We are looking for a US Director of Sales for the entire U.S. and Alaska, and North America.  This position is with an industry leader who is expanding rapidly and has an excellent reputation.Ideally we're looking for someone strong administratively and can lead and develop a team, with focus on the oil/gas industry and more specifically drilling operations

  • Implementing and executing strategic plans
  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships
  • Communicating effectively among clients and higher managers
  • Creating reports on sales performance
  • Understanding category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Establish sales objectives through forecasting through a sales process
  • Develop annual sales quotas for regions and territories
  • Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans and reviewing sales performance
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Establish and adjust sales prices by monitoring costs, competitors, and supply and demand indicators.
  • Complete sales operation requirements by scheduling, assigning sales team members, and following up on work results.
  • Maintained national sales staff through regular recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training.
  • Employ assistance from sales-focused freelancers or consultants to ensure quotas are consistently met.
  • Recruiting and hiring sales staff and developing training programs.
  • Project expected sales volume and profit for new and existing products.
  • Working with the marketing department to design print and online promotional materials for the company's products and services.
  • Monitoring the market and competitor products and activities and providing detailed sales forecasting.
  • Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.

US Director of Sales requirements are:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a VP of Sales, Director of Sales, or Sr Sales Manager
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a senior level leadership role in a quickly expanding company preferable.
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies, methods, and employee motivation techniques.
  • Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Practical communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to maximize sales
  • Ability to create and implement sales plans
  • Ability to meet sales goals by monitoring progress
  • Ability to analyze sales data
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop budgets and sales strategies
  • Aptitude for mentoring and coaching sales reps
