The Hotel

Scope of Position
The Director of Sales is responsible for sales strategy and leading the sales team to achieve revenue goals in their deployed market segment; as well as personally managing the Americas leisure segment. The Director of Sales reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Commerce.
Duties and Responsibilities
Together with the Director of Marketing and Commerce implement the agreed rate structure and strategy for all market segments
Recruit, coach and manage sales team members and sales manager activities to confirm sales and achieve goals
Manage sales team supervisory functions including payroll and benefits, incentive plan review, performance reviews, trainings, and travel and expense management
Ensure hotel achieves annual revenues in the leisure transient segment in Americas region
Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in the major marketing areas through direct sales solicitation, phone and written communications and in-person meetings
Maintain close relationships with key decision-makers both in local and international markets
Plan sales trips and client event and activities as well as attend tradeshows, roadshows and site inspections
Assist in the preparation of annual marketing plan and budget and implementation of activities as planned
Analyse and review market changes and implement programs with the Sales Team to meet these changes, i.e. inflation or competitor initiatives
Work closely with the Global Sales Offices to ensure that measurable results targets are achieved

Requirements
Must have a minimum of five years' experience in a senior management role in sales as well as a luxury hotel environment
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks including travel.
Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
Must have mathematical skills, computer software aptitude and hotel operation knowledge.
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications is desirable (Delphi, Cvent, HMS and Agency360 preferred)
Salary Range
$140,000 - 160,000
