HIMS (www.hitachi-ims.com) is looking for an experienced Director of Sales to join our company in our Elk Grove Village, IL office. This position will be responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans in our Elk Grove Village, IL and Irvine, CA branches. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.
Achieve annual sales strategies and goals through the management of sales teams. Develop area sales plans.
Achieve and exceed term and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals while implementing strategies and goals through management of sales representative.
Provide the direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for the entire sales team. Advance the professional development, professional conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency of staff. Travel with sales representatives providing individual coaching and professional development to each member of the regional selling team.
Recruit, develop, and train sales representatives and specialists with clearly communicated sales and overall performance standards. Develop annual sales quotas for sales representatives. Manage and control department expenses at or below budgeted levels.
Forecast monthly revenue projections and maintain a healthy pipeline of projects for the next 90 days. Ensure direct sales representative achieve and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives.
Develop sales plans and strategies to increase market penetration within Area. Participate in annual sales meeting by manufacturers.
Maintain a working knowledge of products, customer applications and key customer needs and requirements. Maintain a working knowledge of competitors' product and their methods of selling as a means to assist the sales team.
Maintain relationships with key customers and influencers in his/her own territory. Approve pricing and discounts, within authority, for new and demonstration instrument sales.
Five or more years of experience selling Labeling, Gluing, and Coding and Marking equipment is preferable. Experience with selling capital equipment is mandatory.
Five or more years of experience in Sales Management.
Application knowledge of Labeling, Gluing, and Coding and Marking products is preferable; knowledge of other packaging machinery is mandatory.
Basic knowledge of Accounting, HR, and Business Operation
Strong customer focus, prospecting skills and excellent closing skills.
Self-motivated, high initiative, self-directed.
Strong attention to details.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
