The Director of Sales is a second-level leadership role managing multiple field sales teams across EMEA. Qualified candidates will have existing experience managing multiple SaaS sales teams across various regions of EMEA. Experience selling into the office of the CFO is a plus.

The Director of Sales is responsible for driving the sales strategy and results within their set of territories to meet the company objectives. They are responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company and regional goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

Team Leadership

  • Build a strong sustainable organization with high levels of employee engagement by attracting and developing top talents.

  • Provide employees with coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities including leadership development to enhance their skills, motivation and performance.

  • Work within a matrixed organization to enlist and align teams around a common goal. Match staff skills and talent to tasks to ensure optimal engagement and performance.

  • Establish and maintain relationships and effectively communicate with customers, business unit leaders and senior management to raise visibility and ensure collaboration with appropriate key stakeholders.

Sales Leadership and Execution

  • Develop annual sales plans for their markets in collaboration with the Demand Generation functions, in support of Workiva strategy and regional objectives.

  • Identify and work with Regional Leadership to recognize internal and external opportunities, competition analysis and solutions for their scope.

  • Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices, ensuring communications are coordinated, supporting strategic OKRs and driving strong engagement.

Sales Management and Operations

  • Prioritizes and drives sales strategies across multiple teams and phases to ensure that customer solutions and contract value are aligned with business objectives.

  • Oversees the day-to-day operational and tactical activities of their assigned team through planning and forecasting, budgetary obligations and team coaching.

  • Manage multiple channel selling strategies and recommends improvements based on market research and competitor analysis

What You'll Need

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

  • 10+ years experience in sales, business administration, or related field

  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing sales team across several territories

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills

  • Negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills

  • Stature and confidence

  • Self-reliant and results-oriented

  • Up to 50% travel is primarily outside of the local area and overnight

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.

POSITION SUMMARY The Sales Engineer lives and works in the intersection between sales and engineering.
