Primary Purpose: This role will manage a regional sales team consisting of BCD (Strategic Account Managers) sellers. The responsibilities include driving top line growth along with DGP growth, and holding sellers accountable for customer touchpoints, proposals to potential customers and collaborating with other verticals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Driving Volume and DGP Growth:
Develop and implement strategies to deliver growth across the region for all BCD products
Assist in the crafting and presentation of sales proposals
Provide guidance and support to sellers
Ensure efficient and timely pricing maintenance personally, and of sellers
Partner with Product Management in the implementation of product-specific strategies
Ensuring regional coverage and portfolio balance sufficient to meet business objectives
Developing Sales Talent:
Participate in performance management, salary planning, and succession planning for the region
Drive continuous improvement ideas within the team; lead and track performance through data and metrics
Participate and guide seller training and sales foresight and capability improvements including via 1on1 mentor or team training
Provide mentorship in sellers career development including training for products, industries, and selling
Maintain positive collaborations with LOB's, other departments, and shared services:
Remove process and administrative hurdles related to the successful shipment of our products to our customers and customer satisfaction
Liaison to help ensure accurate execution of deliveries Develop relationships needed to assist in problem solving with sellers
Building and maintaining customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction:
Conduct joint calls with sellers, product management, and other BCD relevant departments
Help to resolve customer dissatisfaction/issues and drive improvement in net promotor score for BCD and Univar Solutions
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
Deep understanding of the chemical distribution business model an ability to think in terms of the Univar Solutions enterprise and drive actions which are beneficial to the business as a whole
Prior experience with the Chlor-Alkali and Sulfur markets
Ability to work across functions and boundaries to influence and find mutually beneficial outcomes for the business
Projects a professional and positive image both inside and outside of the company. Able to interact optimally to represent Univar Solutions to customers and Suppliers
Ability to advise a team through clear articulation of goals, execution on key behaviors in the sales process, and accountability
