The seven-story, 226 room hotel is accessible by the light rail station one block way and driverless electric shuttles. The lobby level boosts 3,500 sq. ft. of meeting space, Gallery Kitchen, market, Starbucks, 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool, gaming area, library and business center. A large bar includes an operable wall that will open to the outside, connecting guests with the active, tree-lined outdoor design.

Must Haves:

  • Proven track record as a Director of Sales (3+ years), preferably with an upscale brand or Hyatt Hotels

  • Technical skills as it relates to sales system (Delphi preferred) management, weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting

  • Ability to set up and implement strategies that support the positioning of the property

  • Capability to ensure financial and revenue goals are achieved and sales productivity benchmarks are met

  • Experienced leader who can effectively hire, train and manage a team and ensure action plans and goals are attained consistently

  • Deploy and mentor the sales team to uncover new accounts in a highly competitive and saturated market

  • Establish and maintain strong and successful owner relationships; able to articulate the team vision and current strategies and/or challenges

  • Works within a team to develop programming and activations to increase awareness and revenue

  • Involved in the community and develops mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships

The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for all aspects of sales, analyzing and achieving strategic objectives and business growth goals. Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills with associates, guests and owners. Directs sales associates, builds sales budgets and marketing/business plans, while ensuring the hotel is protected and inventory controls are in place. Ensures all operations are in alignment with the vision of the General Manager, Company and brand standards. Delivers quality service, achieves financial goals and implements short and long term strategies.

Knowledge/Skills
3-5 years of hotel sales management experience

Requires knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills.

Ability to Travel and multi-task

Vision to read fine print and computer screens, to see colors, to observe rooms in poorly lit conditions

Understand and follow verbal/written instructions

Develop strong internal and customer relations

Abilities

Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, to tour property and attend functions, to climb stairs, and operate basic office equipment.

Education/Formal Training

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience
4+ years of hotel sales management experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Harvest's Director of Wholesale Sales will lead and oversee Harvest's national wholesale sales objectives, initiatives, and strategies. The Director of Wholesale will be an integral member of our team as the leader who is managing the success of our national wholesale divisions while setting short- and long-term wholesale sales strategies. A key aspect will be evaluating the effectiveness and success of current programs and product brands and staying ahead in a fast-growing and highly competitive market. Some additional key areas of responsibility also include: * Direct a team of channel wholesale sales representatives to execute and exceed sales and profit goals. * Create forecasts and execution plans in collaboration with operational and manufacturing leadership for quarterly and annual financial achievements. * Develop the company's sales processes and commission compensation structures in partnership with management. * Travel 30%+ of the time to Harvest manufacturing and wholesale locations around the U.S. to build the business. * Identify and approach key or strategic partners and set short- and long-term wholesale strategies. * Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential in existing and emerging markets, both medical and recreational. * Plan, develop, and execute training with sales representatives on full line of wholesale brands, strategic promotional activities, and event planning initiatives to build customer relationships and boost Wholesale sales across the nation. * Gain knowledge of competitors' products on national medical and recreational markets and share this information with key leaders to build strategies around increasing market share. * Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities. * Additional duties as assigned by management.
