Summary of the Position: The Director of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and marketing, including managing Account Executives within the sales team. This position is pivotal in driving revenue growth through strategic planning and operational execution, collaborating closely with various core functions within the company. The Director of Sales is a vital member of the leadership team, contributing to the identification and execution of company goals and strategies.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable (LMA):
    • Direct and oversee all sales and marketing operations.
    • Implement EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) leadership and management practices to inspire high performance and drive accountability.
    • Ensure adherence to EOS principles across the department, including V/TO (Vision/Traction Organizer), Accountability Chart, Core Process FBA (Function Accountability), Rocks (priorities), Meeting Pulse, and Scorecard.
    • Conduct annual reviews for direct reports and manage the sales incentive plan.
  2. Strategic Revenue Growth:
    • Develop and maintain a strategic sales plan aligned with long-term company goals.
    • Execute marketing and sales strategies that support the strategic plan.
    • Collaborate with other departments to align marketing and sales efforts.
    • Lead team selling efforts across all core functions and nurture relationships with key customer accounts.
  3. Forecasting & Reporting:
    • Manage the sales pipeline to ensure accuracy, predictability, and velocity.
    • Analyze key data to assess performance, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies.
    • Develop department and company revenue budgets annually.
    • Monitor industry and customer trends, reporting findings to the Leadership Team.
  1. Marketing Management:
    • Oversee marketing initiatives including campaigns, branding, and advertising efforts.
    • Create compelling content such as white papers, case studies, and web content to support sales efforts.
  2. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of sales experience or equivalent.
    • Preferred experience in manufacturing or industrial services.
    • Strong business acumen, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.
    • Experience in collaborative/team selling with subject matter experts.
    • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading teams effectively.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
