The Director of Risk Management is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the Risk Management team. This position is responsible for developing effective partnerships with all levels of organizational leadership to help curtail loss from accidents, crime and other reasons. The Director will be responsible for developing new preventative programs as well as improving current safety programs for the organization. These programs will include activities such as training and education for the organization in the areas of asset protection, fraud and safety awareness and prevention.

Asset Protection: Responsible for ensuring Goodwill-Easter Seals MN has a robust asset prevention program where asset losses are prevented, investigated, and resolved.
Stakeholder Health and Safety Leadership: Develop the overall strategy of continuous improvement for GESMN Environmental Health and Safety Initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development: Model organizational culture, values, and professional behaviors.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to effectively communicate with supervisors, employees and customers.
Proficient in various software applications including Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and using the internet.
Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to interact with a very diverse population in a human services setting.
High level of initiative and self-motivation.

Prior Experience & Education:
Minimum 5-7 years of leadership/managerial experience within Asset Protection, Environmental Health and Safety, and /or Risk Management function required.
Experience with retail, service and/or multi outlet industry preferred.
Loss prevention experience must include asset security, executive protection, background investigation, crisis management, investigation, legal principles and proprietary information protection.
Ability to travel in excess of 40% of the time.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
