We are seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle for our St. Louis office to work as part of our national health care team.

The primary focus of the Director of Revenue Cycle will be to work within the Healthcare Group serving a variety of medical group, health system or post-acute entities by providing revenue cycle operational services, such as, but not limited to registration and scheduling, coding, billing and collection, AR Clean-up and workflow improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of services to provide to CliftonLarsonAllen clients and potential clients to positively impact revenue, through improvement of revenue cycle processes including reducing front end processes, denials, improving timeliness of claims adjudication, technology optimization, insurance AR, patient payments, etc.

  • Assist clients with full spectrum revenue cycle assessment and AR clean-up projects as requested

  • Become actively involved in practice management; i.e. participating in professional organizations and associations which develop/build relationships with clients, potential customers, and industry leaders, writing/developing proposals, etc.

  • Research various topics as necessary for clients or CliftonLarsonAllen personnel related to the latest Medicare and Medicaid regulations

  • Maintain a working knowledge of rules and regulations of the Medicare program and State Medicaid programs as it relates to billing for health care services (e.g. RHC, FQHC and CAH's).

  • Develop familiarity with managed care contracts and methods of payment by managed care organizations and value-based payment transformation

  • Research related to billing compliance and reimbursement initiatives and developing a related libraries and thought leadership articles

Education/Experience

  • Six (6) or more years experience with medical group, health system or post-acute revenue cycle operations and reimbursement

  • Knowledge of practice management and EMR systems for medical group, health system or post-acute entities

  • Knowledge of Medicare program and state Medicaid program rules and regulations

  • Strong PC skills and working knowledge of participant recordkeeping software applications

  • Analytical, yet creative thinking to enable effective decision making.

  • Strong goal orientation/self-motivation

  • Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - client service orientation

  • Solid written communication skills to enable incumbent to prepare accurate and detailed work papers and reports

As a Internal Revenue Agent Technical Advisor you will work serve in the Exam Technical Advocacy Group in Systemic Advocacy (SA) and will be responsible for a wide range of Exam issues. In this role you will be responsible for high level, cross-functional projects that are confidential in nature, developing policy and operational objectives which often requires coordinating efforts across organizational lines, providing technical advice to the Executive Director of Systemic Advocacy (EDSA) in resolution of systemic problems impacting taxpayers, providing guidance on issue resolutions, and identifying and writing various sections of the National Taxpayer Advocate Annual Report to Congress. This position is under the general administrative direction of EDSA and as such you will be expected to have great familiarity with the Taxpayer Advocate function, its mission and the work performed in support of this mission. As a Revenue Agent Technical Advisor you will: * Exercise significant and continuing authority in planning, directing, and coordinating the resolution of systemic issues impacting multiple taxpayers and issues impacting taxpayer burden or taxpayer rights. * Participate with the executive in formulating new or revised policies for high-level service wide programs providing administratively authoritative recommendations on matters related to the formulation and implementation of service wide program initiatives. * Develop management objectives, strategies, actions, and critical success factors and consolidates final strategic business plans for the organization. * Establish and coordinate special agency studies requiring analysis and evaluation of existing or impromptu problems of office functions as needed. * Develop conclusions, recommendations, and proposals for executive approval, decision, review, or other consideration from sources internal or external to the area. * Represent National Taxpayer Advocate on a number of high level cross-functional task forces and researches technical issues to determine and apply tax law as requested by reviewers of the Systemic Advocacy Management System (SAMS) submissions.
