The Director of Revenue Accounting's focus is on the control and reporting of information from the field with a heavy emphasis on Revenue Cycle activities. Responsibilities also include working in tandem with the Assistant Controller on general accounting and corporate financial reporting matters.
These include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. He or she develops and maintains information to guide decision-making regarding company operations in compliance with government policy and reporting regulations. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, the Director of Revenue Accounting performs both routine and complex accounting activities and financial analyses to support the mission of Vinfen.
The Director of Revenue Accounting also:
Performs monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
Ensures all entries and adjustments are booked timely and accurately.
Reviews and approves all revenue entries.
Reviews and interfaces all accounts receivable subsystems to ledger. Ensures the accuracy and compliance with the established rules and principles of general accounting.
Designs and prepares monthly, quarterly, annual A/R reporting package for senior leaders.
Provides requested documentation and supporting data for audit procedure.
Collects various accounting data to prepare and analyze financial income and other accounting statements and reports.
Maintains general accounting systems for use by management in controlling expenditures and insuring compliance with tax laws.
Developssolutionsto a variety of problems requiring use and application of accounting concepts, practices, and techniques.
Distributesrevenue to appropriate accounts and balance totals to bank statement. Reviews and approvesrevenue entries.
Develops and maintains internal controls over accounting processes and the revenue recognition and receivables collection process.
Reconciles revenue to Utilization Reports.
Assists the Assistant Controller and Controller, as needed with Annual audit, Monthly closes
Assists Divisional Personnel with Funding Agency reporting and CT Ops Plan.
Assists Revenue Dept. with Funding Agency reporting and Cost based billings.
Coordination of collection follow-up processes with the Revenue Dept.
Oversees and controls the Rep Payee function company wide.
Performs other related duties, as required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required; MBA strongly preferred.
Seven to ten years' experience in accounting or related field. Experience in the human services operational environment preferred. In some instances, experience may be substituted for academic training.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Intermediate to advanced Excel user comfortable with large data sets and experience with
advanced formulas and pivot tables, strong with other Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships across the organization.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, as well as ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of the company
including operational directors.
