Role and Responsibilities
Oversee Channel Sales Managers for Walmart and Sam's to achieve company sales and market share objectives.
Drive growth and increased share for Samsung by developing plans and strategies that drive results in store and online
Partner with internal teams to funnel the Voice of the Customer (VOC) inputs related to Samsung products and go-to-market strategy and execution.
Collaborate with marketing, category sales, product development, and operations to achieve sales objectives identified by the company.
Identify and develop new business opportunities which results in the achievement of increased revenue and profitability.
Build and maintain strong business relationships with Walmart and Sam's leadership to pursue new profitable business opportunities to increase market share.
Direct joint business planning initiatives between Walmart / Sam's and Samsung.
Leverage market and internal analytics to develop a go-to-market strategy in support of Samsung objectives, including account and product line specific programs.
Skills and Qualifications
15+ years of sales leadership roles in top branded organizations
BA Degree required; MBA is a plus
Outstanding financial acumen, organizational planning and negotiation skills required.
Builds and develops best-in-class teams built on trust, accountability and respect for each other.
A proven self-starter, he/she must be a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good business judgment, and outstanding managerial leadership ability.
Ability to manage a highly matrixed organization to achieve results
Deep understanding of how to drive profitable business specifically at Walmart and Sam's
Deep understanding of Walmart systems, policies and process
Proven track record having helped profitably grow a business, developed and implemented polices and processes necessary to drive and manage a business with specific metrics and discipline.
Ability to bring outstanding interpersonal skills (including excellent oral and written communication), strong intellect and problem solving skills to any discussion with colleagues and/or customers.
Leads process improvement strategies that drives continuous operational improvements.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Read and interpret technical documents, and contracts (or related documents) based on corporate legal and marketing standards and philosophy.
Demonstrate competency in both oral and written communication modes for internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in the sales, marketing and supply chain.
Demonstrate a superior level of project management skills, including the ability to prepare written plans and schedules, identify objectives, create program proposals, coordinate and direct project teams.
Work independently and in team environments in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
Identify root cause to problems and use data driven approaches to solve them.
Combine POS data with marketing and insight data to create compelling and comprehensive selling stories.
Enroll/ Engage the appropriate leaders and subject management experts to align objectives, share analysis and drive recommendations.
Drive large-scale projects to enhance revenue, reduce operational costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Works with internal & external stakeholders to ensure Samsung revenue and profit goals are achieved.
