GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Director of Retail Marine Credit is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with yacht brokers and dealers to secure new clients for boat financing. He/she will develop client relationships through leads, boat shows and community involvement specifically for boat financing. He/she will provide leadership and coordination of the company sales function with Shore Premier Financial, in addition to the development and implementation of sales strategy and monitoring and analyzing sales activity against goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Outreach, promote, and represent marine finance products.
2.Schedule and perform visits with dealers and brokers to determine needs and obtain feedback.
3.Develop sales strategies and products to promote and sell financial services.
4.Respond immediately to leads for loans.
5.Gather information from the loan application to ensure that the loan decision is made in a timely manner.
6.Works closely with the Retail Credit Underwriters and Processors to schedule loan closings, participating in the closing process to ensure the highest level of customer service. Also ensuring that the documents are accurately prepared and executed.
7.Overall goal is to increase sales volume by customer retention, new customer acquisition, and adhering to company guidelines for underwriting and legal procedures.
8.Analyzes and evaluates productivity of the marine consumer business efforts, including closing volume, profitability, and overall performance. This person shall be responsible for tracking and documenting the record of leads and applications, approval/denial rates, plus any additional pertinent information that will help evaluate the productivity on the sales/underwriting efforts.
9.Communicates the changes in rates and programs.
10. Work closely with Retail Credit Administration to present new programs and / or products, and revised underwriting criteria to add to the existing product portfolio.
11. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed annually, about 5% of the time.
12. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 9 to 10 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

Intermediate: Accounting, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or ten (10) years' industry and sales experience.
Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a senior-level sales position.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a lending environment or in investment banking with a foundation in credit analysis and exposure to lending products and legal documentation.
Experience in strategic planning and execution and knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations
Required Skills and Abilities:
Proven analytical ability with excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and computer skills.
Effective verbal/written communication and problem resolution skills
Must have solid business judgment with proven ability to make decisions independently and decisively.
Must be a team player who can manage efficiently in a changing environment and be capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously under a tight schedule.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.
