As a Program Director you will:

  • Responsible for the total operation of the rehabilitation program.

  • Accountability for budgeting, program growth, Human Resources management expense management, program development, quality and outcome improvement and productivity management in an interdisciplinary fashion.

  • Role model for adherence to Kindred/RehabCare policies, procedures, communication and serves as the "face" of the program at the hospital.

  • The operations of the unit shall reflect both Kindred and RehabCare mission and vision.

As a Program Director you will have:

  • At minimum be a graduate of a four year bachelor degree program

  • Preference for clinical experience with a degree as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech Language Therapist (SLP) or Registered Nurse (RN)

  • A track record of successful management experience in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (or like experience) coupled with strong business, interpersonal, organizational and entrepreneurial skill is necessary

We also make determinations on Social Security disability OOD has a full-time opportunity for Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor (VRS). OOD may require VRS employees to travel extensively within the state to provide services across many counties to individuals with disabilities. Hourly: $30.91 You may be assigned to additional counties on a regular basis. Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to: Cincinnati: Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Highland and Preble Provides administrative & supervisory direction to vocational rehabilitation counselors (to include Licensed Professional Counselors & candidates for Counselor Licensure requiring a supervised internship): ensures the timely & equitable delivery of services to consumers; conducts case & caseload reviews, monitors expenditures, negotiates counselor goals & mentors staff, assesses performance & assists staff in professional development; manages referral/intake processes to ensure timeliness of service to consumers; handles consumer complaints. Oversees the development & implementation of strategies to reach annual goals for the team & prepares reports concerning caseload goal achievement; assists in the development of area strategies for strategic plan. When assigned, assumes responsibility for additional supervisor teams or entire area & may assist with statewide administrative assignments. Temporarily assumes caseload duties during time of counselor vacancies. Represents agency within community; services as liaison in collaborative agreement with other public/private agencies or businesses & develops resources for consumer services (e.g., inter-agency partnerships, business advisory committees, school systems, etc.); discusses policy & other rehabilitation issues, surveys on management team to analyze problems & develop strategies for action; monitors inter-agency agreements & formulates & obtains contracts &/or grants. Conducts team meetings, investigates special problems & complaints, orients & trains staff, responds to inquiries from the public, legislators or other government officials, performs variety of public relations activities, attends conferences & meetings, serves on committees. Prepares variety of reports on program services, caseload activities & general goal achievement. Uses personal computer to prepare various documents & monitor case activity. Completion of graduate core program in human services area; 4 yrs. exp. in private/governmental agency in a position providing direct counseling services. * Or completion of undergraduate core program in human services area; 5 yrs. exp. in private/governmental agency in position providing direct counseling services. * Or 3 yrs. exp. as vocational rehabilitation counselor or vocational rehabilitation program specialist with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. * Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
