Director of Recruiting Services Job Details

The Director of Recruiting Services at NCSA: Next College Student Athlete is responsible for overseeing our recruiting service operations. You will lead our team of front-line recruiting experts to help our premium members achieve success in the recruiting process. You will be accountable for delivering continuous improvement in our client journey through operational enhancements and improved strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversees NCSA's Recruiting Coaches (account managers).

  • Develop and manage initiatives designed to improve customer engagement, success, satisfaction, retention and revenue generation across all premium memberships.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop front line employees and support managers.

  • Foster an environment where every team member can excel as a problem solver and is empowered to positively impact the customer experience.

  • Improve operations by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, establishing and communicating service metrics, monitoring and analyzing results, and implementing changes.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and actively participating in professional organizations.

  • Exemplify the desired culture and service philosophy of the organization.

  • Contribute to recruiting operations budget process by forecasting requirements and managing spend on an annual basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of managerial experience.

  • Proven track record of enhancing performance through coaching.

  • Previous leadership and management experience in a customer service role.

  • Must be able to demonstrate sustained and effective process improvement skills.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-demand, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Director or higher-level leadership position.

  • Former collegiate athletic or collegiate coaching experience preferred

As the Director of Attorney Recruiting at Latham, you will support the strategic initiatives of the firm's Recruiting Committee with respect to the hiring of summer associates, new associates, and lateral associates for the firm's offices in the United States. Alongside the Chair and Vice Chairs of the Recruiting Committee, the Director of Attorney Recruiting (the "Director") provides leadership to the recruiting department and Recruiting Committee members, working closely with practice office and global team members in the Attorney Development Department to develop and implement effective recruiting efforts to ensure that the firm is successful in recruiting top legal talent. The Director will interface regularly with senior firm management, lawyers at all levels, law school career services, and others, and continually create, develop and implement effective and innovative processes and best practices for all aspects of the recruiting life cycle from pre-law pipeline programs to lateral associate hiring, while accomplishing these and other critical functions: * Serving as a trusted advisor and source of institutional and practical knowledge for the Chair and Vice Chairs of the Recruiting Committee. Working with the Chairs in formulating strategic goals for the Committee, enhancing and/or improving Committee processes, discussing substantial policy issues, overseeing the work of various subcommittees and managing the day-to-day business of the Committee * Developing short-term and long-term strategies for achieving the firm's hiring goals in the US. * Developing and implementing recruiting policies, procedures, programs and initiatives. * Overseeing US law school recruiting efforts, including the management of relationships with career services staff, campus interviews and outreach, and the summer associate program. * Overseeing lateral associate recruitment efforts in the US, including developing strategies for sourcing, attracting, hiring and retaining highly-talented and diverse lawyers. * Overseeing development of communication and marketing materials, including the careers site, social media, electronic communications, and other types of communications. * Collecting market intelligence, conducting research and assessing trends related to attorney recruitment. Staying abreast of developments in recruiting to ensure that the firm's recruiting program are innovative and effective. * Organizing training and guidance in effective and appropriate recruiting and interviewing skills. * Analyzing post-season recruiting results and implementing strategic improvements as necessary. * Working closely with the Diversity Leadership Committee, strategizing and implementing diversity recruiting initiatives. * Developing and managing recruiting budget. * Supervising and providing direction to Global Recruiting Department managers, coordinators, assistants and summer interns. Providing training, professional development objectives and feedback to ensure a high standard of performance from all members. * Working with the Manager of Recruiting – Europe, Middle East and Asia to ensure that the firm's recruiting efforts and message are aligned globally. * Working with the Directors of Administration to manage and provide guidance to practice office recruiting managers and teams. As a Director of Attorney Recruiting, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Director of Attorney Recruiting must have knowledge of legal employment issues, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent leadership skills necessary for effective management. The Director must be sensitive towards the needs of diverse and multicultural constituencies, and have the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm. The successful candidate will have organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines. The Director of Attorney Recruiting must will have strong project management skills, as well as the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer and technical skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and database management. Knowledge of graphical designs is a plus. A Bachelor's degree is required. A J.D. or other advanced degree is preferred. At least five (5) years' recruitment management experience is required. At least ten (10) years' recruitment experience in either a legal or professional services environment is desired. The Director must have the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
