Job Description:

RMD Engineering's Mechanical Products Team (MPT) leads the business's efforts in mechanical hardware design, development and production of radars, command and control, effectors, communications and other technical systems operating in the ground-based tactical and undersea environments. MPT uses state-of-the-art tools, processes and technology to deliver innovative solutions to make the world a safer place.

The MPT organization is seeking a Director of Program Management to serve as the LTAMDS (Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense) Radar Systems IPT Lead. LTAMDS is a recent Raytheon Technologies franchise program that will deliver a next-generation radar with 360 degree visibility to defeat advanced threats including hypersonic weapons. The position reports to the MPT Technical Staff director, and is key role within MPT's 3000+ person team.

Position duties and qualifications include:

  • Leader of the LTAMDS Radar Systems IPT, responsible for design, production & test readiness and production support to ensure delivery of LTAMDS Production Representative Units (PRU)

  • This role is responsible for overall planning, execution, reporting, and leadership of the IPT. Additionally provides leadership and oversight of the Antenna and Infrastructure sub-IPTs as well as the overall Hardware CPT responsibilities for the LTAMDS System

  • The role requires close partnership with Operation, Supply Chain and Mission Assurance to develop and implement tailored development, test and production processes to support the highly accelerated schedule required by the customer to support the Middle Tier Authority Rapid Prototyping contract and its Urgent Material Release fielding

  • The role requires close management of design completion while simultaneously balancing resulting LTAMDS performance with the ability to meet the customers critical schedule requirements

  • Regular review of program status including tracking and review by both Engineering Leadership and Program Leadership

  • Extensive knowledge of hardware engineering capabilities to ensure successful technical execution. Ability to partner with the chief engineer and technical leads is required

  • Extensive knowledge of transition to production and the ability to lead a design release into production is required

  • The position requires frequent interaction with all levels of Raytheon Management, internal and external customers

  • The position requires frequent interaction with USG customer's technical and quality leadership, as well as regular customer briefings at management reviews and Technical Interchange meetings

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)

  • Active/Current Clearance at Secret level

  • 14+ years relevant professional experience

  • Experience leading and participating in design and development activities

  • Experience in technical and program leadership positions

  • Experience preparing both technical and cost proposals and the ability to critically review proposals

  • Knowledge of earned value management and other program management skills

  • Experience presenting challenging technical issues to senior leadership

  • Ability to travel in support of MPT and Program activities both domestic and international

Qualifications we value:

  • 10+ years participating in technical and program leadership positions

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people at the department level

Join this highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our war fighters. * Support the development of cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies. * Defining security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components * Understanding and integrating cybersecurity development activities. * Support the development of RMF documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations. * Performing analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results. * Conducting cybersecurity audits to ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of the security posture. * Conducting technical and nontechnical trade studies. * Understanding and compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies. Qualifications You Must Have: * Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics to include Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, or similar. (An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 5 years of experience) * Minimum of 5+ years of Technical (hands-on) experience related to Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development, and implementation. * Experience in the field of Systems Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies. * Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations. * Experience with security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies. * Experience with IA vulnerability testing and related network and system test tools; e.g., Retina, NMap, Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP). * Experience with information security toolset including: anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools. * DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g. Security+ or CISSP or equivalent). * The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
