Summary:

Advanced Technology Systems Company in Gilbert, AZ is looking for a Director of Program Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to monitor, execute, and install programmatic controls for programs. Program emphasis is relative to the integration and development of engineering programs that relate to C4ISR Systems and Air Delivery Systems. The Director of Program Management will have key interfaces with the site leadership, Engineering, Business Development, Factory, Supply Chain, Government Agencies, Customers (CONUS and OCONUS), and suppliers. This is a hands-on position that will also work as a PM while directing other PM's.

The successful candidate will be responsible to monitor, execute, and instil programmatic controls for programs. Program emphasis is relative to the integration and development of engineering programs that relate to C4ISR Systems and Air Delivery Systems. The Director of Program Management will have key interfaces with the site leadership, Engineering, Business Development, Factory, Supply Chain, Government Agencies, Customers (CONUS and OCONUS), and suppliers. This is a hands-on position that will also work as a PM while directing other PM's.

Key/Core Qualifications:

• Experience managing other Program Managers and/or Project Engineers

• Experience in military and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) engineering development programs.

• Full life cycle experience: Front end BD and sales Pipeline through the development life cycle and into production and sustainment activities

• Skilled at balancing cost and schedule performance

• Experience with program reporting to upper management

• Experience building effective relationships with customers and suppliers

• Self-starter with a sense of urgency

• Experience with Earned Value Management System

• Experience with program Risks and Opportunities

• Experience as a primary focal into major customers and suppliers

• Experienced with MS Project

• Experienced with writing/negotiating SOWs

• Understanding of ERP systems

• Manages to schedules and metrics

• BS EE or equivalent

• 10+ years of experience formally managing programs as a PE or PM

• 5+ years working as an engineer

• Experience in engineering development programs is required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Requirement Management tools

• Experience with subcontract supplier management

• Experience as an Engineer or Engineering Manager performing new product development

• Ability to create, implement, and/or modify programmatic processes

• Experience of tactical radios, EO/IR systems, Radar systems, networking, and/or computing platforms/servers

• Experience with customer and government audits

• Experience with Contracts, Terms and Conditions, etc

• Certified PMI PMP/PgMP

• A previous role as a technical engineering manager with would be a plus.

• Must be a U.S. citizen with or with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.

• Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds

• Must be able to read, write and speak English

• Travel overseas may be required
