Who We're Looking For
Our client is looking for a Director of Project Quality and Governance to join their team in Boston, MA for a full time opportunity.

Be an engaged, collaborative member of the senior Product Engineering staff
Collaborate across Product Engineering, Product Management, IT and vendors to develop annual budgets
Ensure successful introduction and adoption of quality assurance methods across the globe
Develop quality scorecards and analysis for technology and business leaders
Establish goals and identify techniques to drive testing automation and performance measurement for product engineering
Work closely with Product Development and Product Management staff to create strategic business plans

Strong quality and software development experience, with a track record of driving a technology agenda within a globally dispersed environment
15+ years of proven experience managing complex organizations including accountability for technology solutions, implementations, consensus building, organizational leadership, and technical excellence
Expertise in quality assurance best practices and testing across a variety of technology platforms and tools, ideally including mobile and cloud-based platforms with heavy emphasis on revenue-generating products and commercial implementations
Bachelors degree in a computer-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Masters degree strongly preferred)
W2 and local candidates only

Job Summary: The Global Risk Solutions Technology team is looking to hire a Product Owner II for the Data Governance team. This role will oversee Data Governance and documentation structure covering project execution, post-implementation effectiveness assessment, operational and maintenance processes and procedures. Identify risks and/or potential gaps regarding data consistency and availability including all systems and architecture layout gaps. Define and Implement regular technology configuration and management procedures assessment and work with the team to implement appropriate changes and improvements to ensure best practices are applied at all levels of the technology management process. About the job: * Communicate the data governance strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members across GRS. * Responsible and accountable for assigned feature level key performance indicators (KPI`s) and manages features or product(s) with a low to medium degree of KPI, scope, complexity, etc. * Supports defining minimum viable product (MVP). Owns scrum team backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement). * Works day to day with the scrum teams clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating and gaining alignment around feature or product strategy. * Ensures delivery of scope, partners with delivery teams to ensure user stories are clear, removes barriers for team members and resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently. Acts as the `voice of the customer. * Analyzes feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs. * Sets the quality standard for delivery. Develops test plans (user story acceptance criteria), accepts each story and potentially features and participates in team demos and retrospectives to validate quality, provide feedback to team and improve team processes. * Partners across functions as needed to coordinate delivery plans, testing, training and support. * Leads problem resolution as needed to ensure that internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service. * Communicates the feature or product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members. * Incorporates stakeholder input into product roadmap while effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer. Desired Skills: * Bachelors` degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.). Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 5 years` experience in a Data Management role (Data Analyst, Information Management, ETL, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture). * Minimum of 2 years' experience with Metadata Management and or Data Governance tools (Data Lineage tools, Data Catalogs, Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries). * Able to depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; educate SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and the impact of change. * Able to make difficult and quick decisions on a daily basis. * Able to influence a diverse group of stakeholders-strong leadership skills. * Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress. * Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty. Technical Capabilities: * In-depth understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles. * Solid understanding of key meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms. * Strong experience in process re-engineering, hands-on operational management and change management. * Proven track record in driving large data governance programs at an enterprise level * Knowledge of relational and no-SQL databases. * Ability to address essential regulatory requirements such as GDPR, Solvency II in conjunction with Data Governance and/or Data Quality.
