Vorstella is an AI platform that automatically manages large scale distributed systems like Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark and Kafka for large companies. Founded by ex-DataStax engineers, weve designed some of the largest distributed system deployments in the world and we wanted to make this technology accessible to everyone. You shouldnt need 3 years of experience to feel comfortable running a new system at scale. We take the guesswork out of using new technology and let you focus on building your applications.

What youll be working on

You'll be our first marketing hire, will report directly to the CEO and will be building the marketing org from scratch. You'll lead our effort to find product-market fit by defining our target market and the set of product features that maximize growth in that target market.

You'll put in place marketing experimentation processes to drive time-bound, data-driven growth experiments. The goal being to determine what works, what doesnt, whos interested and what do they care about most.

You'll select and oversee contractors responsible for implementing the demand generation funnel and content marketing. The goal being so that we achieve the required pipeline coverage taking into account conversion rates and velocity.

You'll design messaging and collateral for use by sales org to accelerate the sales process and oversee training.

You'll work with product and engineering to implement feedback loops which drive product strategy and pricing.


  • The ability to dive deep into markets to assess potential opportunities.
  • Product marketing experience with enterprise IT, infrastructure or SaaS products.
  • Strong social, verbal and written communications skills. We're work from home friendly and many of our engineers are spread across the southwest US.
  • Data driven, quantitative and analytical.
  • Experience in a dynamic work environment with a bias for action.
  • A love of distributed systems, data, and learning new things.

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 Job Summary: The Director of Product Marketing will develop messaging, content, and tools for direct and channel sales teams to position our enterprise security product portfolio, communicating value to our customers. Working with our demand generation team, content produced by Product Marketing will be promoted through integrated marketing programs, from demand generation to website content, press activity and social media channels. Responsibilities: * Serve as the SME for our buyers, who they are, how they buy, their buying criteria, and the competitive landscape * Contribute to the evolution of positioning and messaging that differentiates Endgame in the enterprise security marketplace * Develop sales tools, including demonstrations, presentations, whitepapers, datasheets, and more, for marketing programs that drive demand for our products * Deliver sales and technical training to internal teams and external partners * Develop exceptional content to support sales team members with optimal ammunition (presentations, cheat sheets, solution briefs, etc.) to properly position solutions and close opportunities * Work with customers to understand and document new use cases * Contribute to product planning as the SME for our target market. * Collaborate with technical teams to build demos to support various enterprise security use case * Plan the launch of new products and releases; manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan * Other Product Marketing duties as assigned Qualifications/Experience: * Must have 8 years experience across product product marketing or product management with enterprise security * Must have minimum of 4 years in endpoint security, security operations, IT Operations or similar disciplines * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing or similar * Ability to credibly influence and manage across, as well as up and down functions is vital * Excellent presentation, writing and messaging skills to position solutions to Enterprise customers through succinct, compelling, well-written and descriptive language * Ability to travel up to 25% About Endgame: Endgame's endpoint protection platform brings certainty to security with the most powerful scope of protections and simplest user experience, ensuring analysts of any skill level can stop targeted attacks before information theft.
