Director, Product Management - Platform

The Plex team is searching for an experienced product leader to help drive and deliver our mPaaS vision, including a compelling app marketplace that encompasses integration, extensibility and marketplace transactions, while owning and delivering on our near-term roadmap and customer success commitments.

Principal Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a team of product managers knowledgeable on general manufacturing, logistics, and financial processes;

  • Provide out-bound representation of platform initiatives, articulating customer value to internal stakeholders like services, customer care, and GTM team as well as directly to our customers;

  • Be accountable for successful delivery of roadmap and customer success initiatives, synthesizing near and long-term needs across a diverse landscape of integration technologies and offerings;

  • Articulate and advance our long-term mPaaS vision, position Plex as a market leader in this space, and incorporate our thriving customer and partner community as a seamless counterpart and extension of the mPaaS model.

You will provide the SaaS GTM know-how and experience that will continue to engender confidence throughout the organization as Plex continues to grow. You will possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This is a unique opportunity to shape and transform the market for manufacturing ERP software as our SaaS model accelerates into the marketplace phase. This position can be located in either our Troy, MI headquarters, or be remotely based from a home office with travel to Troy, MI required.


  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, a Master degree or MBA is highly desirable.

  • 8+ years with increasing levels of responsibility in digital Product Management, Product Marketing or Engineering for SaaS solutions, preferably with Marketplace or "Platform as a Service" experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership, including the passion and drive to execute across multiple functional areas, aligning internal stakeholders and ultimately delivering GTM messaging to customers and/or partner ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated expertise in SaaS application integration needs to include but not limited to: API strategies, product extensibility models and architectures, multi-tenancy data concerns, security models, browser plug-ins, etc.

VIEW JOBS 3/31/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-29T00:00 Position Title Sr. Treasury Management Product Manager Location Headquarters-Troy, MI Job Summary This position is responsible for ensuring the competitiveness of existing treasury products, working closely with product vendors along with Treasury Management Sales, Commercial Bank Operations, IT, Branch Banking (Retail and Business), Commercial Lending and Marketing. This includes driving the strategic direction of assigned products, developing product marketing and launch plans, managing product risk, identifying and implementing new revenue opportunities, and managing product profitability and pricing. Advocates and presents new or enhanced Treasury Management initiatives to the bank's New Product Committee and ensures the completion of risk assessments for each initiative. Serves as product advocate and spearheads activities necessary to implement approved products and projects with applicable internal and external resources; supports the achievement of approved performance goals and objectives. This may entail customer/prospect calling, technical sales/customer support and customer implementation. Works with internal resources to develop product training for internal and external clients. Operates in full compliance with bank policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws. As applicable, responsible for drafting or amended bank policy and presenting to bank management for approval. Position may have responsibility for the pricing and deposit profitability of Bank's commercial deposit products portfolio for checking, money market, time and investment sweep accounts for all Community Bank Lending lines of business. Monitors industry trends and performs essential market research and analysis to define current and prospective customer needs. Job Responsibilities: * Driving strategic initiatives, developing product marketing and launch plans, creating product documentation and training * Managing compliance, product risk and regulatory items * Providing sales support including customer/prospect calling, technical sales and support as well as complex implementations * Managing product pricing, competitive positioning, identifying new revenue opportunities and managing product profitability * Managing special projects, developing custom client solutions * Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Complete all required compliance training. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Take responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies. Job Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in a business related field and 7 years of treasury management product, sales or related treasury management operations role in a bank or similar environment – OR - 10 years in treasury management product, sales or related treasury management operations role in a bank or similar environment * Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation as awarded by the Association for Financial Professionals is preferred * Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) as awarded by the National Automated Clearing House Association is also preferred * Solid understanding of treasury management products and services * Ability to identify changes and trends emerging in the treasury management industry * Conceptual understanding of project management methodology * Strong understanding of banking operations, payment processing and cash management principles * Strong understanding of both business and banking regulations such as UCC, Reg CC, Reg E and regulatory guidance/oversight * Commercial or wholesale deposit pricing experience including development of initiatives and tactics for successful growth of $1B+ commercial deposit portfolio * Strong knowledge of internal services products and other internal line of business systems * Deep understanding of commercial and business treasury operations, cash flow management and general financial accounting * Strong project and process management skills * Ability to manage multiple projects of competing priorities simultaneously with great success * Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization * Demonstrated ability to work with business partners throughout the bank * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong marketing and product launch plan skills * Deep technical understanding knowing how technology works and the ability to explain it to those that don't * Good understanding of financial reporting, P & L and product costing * Strong customer service demeanor with the ability to bring together both the best interests of the client and the Bank * Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate the organization especially when urgent situations arise. * Strong knowledge of bank policies, laws and regulations governing banks with a focus on treasury management. * Strong understanding of deposit pricing methodology in the commercial deposit space including costing and pricing components such as FTP and transfer costs Internal Use Only: Band E Flagstar Bank Troy MI
