VIEW JOBS 2/11/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-11T00:00 End-User Experience At Roku we strive to improve our user's experience – both out of the box and throughout the life of using our products. Increasingly the day-to-day user experience is not limited to the design of the user interface or features we develop, but by the content that we produce and display within the interface. To that end, the End-User Experience team is responsible for the features and the content that make up the end-to-end experience of using Roku products, and for ensuring we maintain a high quality, consistent and compelling user experience. This group consists of UX Design, Research and Quality, Product Management, Content Design and Production, and the development of user-facing features across the Roku OS, as well as the ideation and creation of new features. Role The Director of Product Management will own key areas of the Roku experience and will be responsible for both improving existing features within that area or building entirely new features and products. The role requires someone comfortable with operating in a highly dynamic environment, who thrives on navigating ambiguity and solving new problems. Much of what we produce has significant revenue implications and it is critical that we build a reputation for releasing engaging, high-quality product on-time. Requirements You are a senior technical product leader with a head for business, and a pragmatic, strategic approach to problem-solving. You are highly data driven. You are hands-on, non-political, with the ability to influence leaders across different business and functional teams. You are consumer focused and have demonstrated examples of successfully delivering compelling user features for consumer products. You are execution focused and can appropriately prioritize and manage conflicting requirements. You have proven your ability to establish credibility at the executive level and experience gaining consensus and approval for product planning efforts across multiple functional leaders. Ideally, you have developed consumer-facing features for TV or a video streaming service or worked on software development in consumer electronics. Key Responsibilities * Develop roadmaps and drive key product initiatives. * Develop feature requirements and facilitate agreement with key stakeholders. * Define success metrics, develop A/B tests and analyze product performance. * Utilize data analytics, research, product reviews, user feedback and product testing to ensure consistency and quality across all end user features. * Build strong relationships with business partners (e.g. content, marketing, advertising, finance, etc.) and development partners (e.g. design, engineering and data science).
