Director Of Product Management

Drive GEICO's profitable growth and innovate its products by leading the Product Management team. We are looking for leaders with experience and the ability to strategically analyze the marketplace, lead others to make change happen, and motivate and develop a team of highly skilled analysts and product managers.

Essential Functions:

• Directs the review, development, and management of product design changes that span multiple regional or departmental teams

• Leverages market research, industry trends and thorough understanding of competitor strategies to drive analysis, product change and GEICO's strategy thorough understanding of personal lines insurance including: underwriting, ratemaking, competitive analysis, and product development

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of insurance regulation and related business constraints

• Advocates the company position in negotiation with regulators and consultants and in legal and compliance matters

• Uses excellent written communication, leadership, organization, and quantitative skills to assertively overcome obstacles and find creative solutions to complicated business problems

• The candidate must be self-motivated, goal oriented individual with insatiable intellectual curiosity which will allow them to adapt to a fast paced environment and get work done through others

Qualifications:

• Must display successful experience leading a product management group responsible for large-scale insurance products

• A Bachelor's degree in a business or related field, a Master's degree is preferred

• CPCU designation is preferred

• Other Industry related professional designations are preferred such as (FCAS/ACAS, Coursera or API).

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area. Once GEICO determines it is safe for associates to return to the office, candidates may be required to work in our Chevy Chase, MD office.
