Director of Product Management

Edgenuity is continuing to grow its portfolio of digital solutions for K-12 institutions and we need an experienced Director of Product Management to help us continue to grow our Courseware business. In this role, and working with a product management team, you will lead delivery and growth efforts of a major product segment at Edgenuity.

A Day in the Life as a Director of Product Management
As Director of Product Management, your mornings will typically be focused on status of initiatives that are in the execution phase. Working with your team members and peers, you will help mitigate risks and remove challenges that product and technology teams face during the execution. Your typical afternoons will be focused on planning of future product growth and supporting your team members in defining both business and technical requirements. Part of your time will also be spent on facilitating and contributing to departmental and initiative level reporting for stakeholders.
Success in the next 12 months would include delivering sales growth of your product lines, which would likely come as a result of great product enhancement releases to existing products or introduction of new products through partnerships of internal development at Edgenuity. As a team leader, your success in the next 12 months will also include supporting growth and professional development of the product managers on your team in line with their individual goals for the year.
Bachelor `s degree in education, technology, business or related field with at least 5 years of experience in product management; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Passion for products, technology, business, and user experience.
Experience leading product teams as a product manager or development manager.
Well-versed in the processes of an agile and/or lean development environment.
A strategic and forward-thinking mindset.
A high degree of technical fluency and comfort
Leadership skills - ability to influence and inspire the team while steering products in the best directions possible.
Strong ability to build a product vision and communicate that vision to the team, peers, and stakeholders.
Self-motivation and a strong desire to make an impact in K-12 education.
Ability to travel up to 30% to meet with customers and/or key stakeholders, product teams in other Edgenuity locations.
