Ariens Company is seeking a proven, motivated and passionate Director of Product Management to be responsible for driving and execution of product marketing strategies for the Ariens Company Power Equipment brands.
THE DAY TO DAY
Set the long-term vision and strategy for AriensCo Power Equipment product portfolios, within assigned product categories.
Develop strategic marketing plans for each product line that support business objectives, including sales growth, profitability and market share goals, while further enhancing brand value.
Working collaboratively with the platform engineering group, direct and oversee new product development strategy, from concept through product launch and commercialization.
Lead the 5-year product roadmap and new product development (NPD) prioritization processes.
Drive cross-functional collaboration and consensus by working with engineering, sales, supply chain, operations and finance teams, to develop and win approval for business cases.
Directly and actively engage with channel customers power equipment dealers and national retailers to gain firsthand insight into the consumers' and market feedback on product portfolio. Create a clear understanding of the current and future market direction, needs, and potential receptivity to new products and services, and incorporate this understanding into strategy and tactical product plans.
Provide analysis of economic trends, buying habits and demographic characteristics of end-user segments.
Lead the collection and analysis of competitive intelligence and measurement of market share for product lines and families; conduct primary market research, as needed, to support business development opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering and sales teams on decisions related to product, channel and strategic partnerships.
Define annual product plans to support a multi-year product marketing strategy with clear objectives and long-term vision in collaboration with key functional leaders involved in implementing and achieving the desired results.
Direct annual and multi-year pricing strategies, through a clear understanding of product profitability, customer needs, and the competitive environment & markets.
In conjunction with sales organization, develop and execute marketing and promotional plans to support the annual business objectives of sales growth, market share and profitability.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in leading teams in marketing & product management within a consumer products and/or durable goods industry
Effective communicator and presenter, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and cross-functional teams
Evidence and data-based decision maker
Ability to travel 30%
