Director of Pricing & Trade
Pilgrim's is seeking a Director Pricing and Trade Strategy for our Prepared Foods Marketing team. This role is responsible for driving internal processes associated with the development of pricing, promo and trade strategy for all Prepared Foods categories and execution of these strategies to drive profitable growth. The Director will translate these strategies into best practices and guardrails and facilitate organizational decision-making processes for pricing and promotion.
This role will work with category managers, customer marketing managers and senior sales leaders to provide comprehensive pricing and program analytics. To be successful in this role, the Director must have a strong track record of coaching, developing and leading others. They must be a forward thinker with excellent strategic and tactical planning skills. They must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. They must possess strong negotiating/ communication and interpersonal skills.
Establish and recommend guardrails for all levels of foodservice price and trade programing including corporate and local distributor programs, operator rebate and contract price programs, with specific attention to broadline distribution and related product portfolio
Develop reporting capabilities from TPM software (currently Blacksmith Applications) and related databases to produce reports and analysis to evaluate Trade effectiveness of Prepared Foods business unit
Establish, with marketing and sales leadership, appropriate tradespend benchmarks and KPI's
Responsible for identifying and compiling data, identifying and quantifying opportunities and recommending improvements
Continuous implementation of process improvement as it relates to data analysis and value collection
Collaborate with senior management and peers to provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, MBA preferred
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel required
Foodservice industry experience desirable
Experience with Blacksmith Applications and SAP desirable
