The Director of Payroll Compliance is responsible for the Payroll department and will work closely with the Payroll Manager processing the institution's employee payroll. S/He will work closely with the Budget/Grant office on grant awarded (Government) Time and Effort reporting requirements. The Director will have complete working knowledge of all aspects of the payroll process and system.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Have full knowledge of all aspects of the payroll process including inputting paid hourly information for all employees (salaried & hourly).

  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager inputting and processing of all changes to payroll (Personnel Action Forms) and Fringe benefits payments.

  • Input sick and vacation time into the attendance module.

  • Process payments re: child support, garnishments, and other miscellaneous deductions.

  • Create and distribute requested payroll reports.

  • Assist in other payroll - related assignments as needed.

  • Ensure that all grant (emphasis on Government) approved funded salaries are allocated correctly according to award agreement.

  • Track all grant awarded allocated salaries from start to finish, working closely with Budget Grant office and PI, following grant compliance policies.

  • Review and monitor time and effort reports to ensure that the approved allocated time is recorded.

  • Responsible for Government required quarterly certifications for Time and Effort reporting.

  • Responsible for yearly review of Government grant Time and Effort reporting working closely with Grant/Budget office.

  • Supervise Payroll Manager.

  • Assist Budget office as needed.


  • Bachelor degree in related field

  • Experience with government (Especially Federal) grant compliance requirements

  • At least 5 years' payroll work experience required

  • At least 3 years' experience managing staff required

  • Working knowledge of Excel

  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local payroll laws and codes

  • Knowledge of Payroll tax codes

  • Organized and detail - oriented individual

  • Experience with Abra or Unit4 preferred

  • Responsible with confidential salary information

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-05T00:00 <p>Under the direction of Director of Dining Services, the Assistant Director of Dining Services supervises and coordinates the food preparation and food service activities for Nursing Home Residents in accordance of the Department of Health and Local Board of Health regulation. Exercises supervision, management and evaluation over a large number of employees engaged in food preparation and food services activities. Assumes duties of Director in his/her absence.<br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul> <li>Plans, assigns and inspects the work of subordinates preparing, cooking and serving food to residents, staff and visitors; plans daily work schedules of subordinates, rescheduling as necessary. May authorize overtime as needed. Interviews and/or hires applicants.</li> <li>Supervises staff training, completes employee performance evaluations; and issues first and second level discipline. Schedules and assigns staff, prepares department payroll for data entry. Oversees production and inspects work of Food Service Department staff and completes required reports for adherence to diet orders and food service sanitation regulations. Plans and revises menus as needed with approval of RD and diet orders to maintain resident health and satisfaction. Data input of any diet changes in meal tracker system.</li> <li>Orders all food supplies and equipment for the department; monitors invoices for compliance to maintain high quality, cost efficient service. Arranges for repair or replacement of equipment and utensils.</li> <li>Inspects kitchen, resident and staff dining areas, all kitchen utensils and equipment, all food preparation and food service areas for conformance to department of health sanitation standards.</li> <li>Coordinates and plans with various departmental personnel, food preparation activities for special Nursing Home events.</li> <li>Participates in Interdisciplinary Team Conference or Morning Report as needed.</li> <li>Assist in conducting food committee meeting as scheduled.</li> <li>Participate in Resident Council Meeting as needed.</li> <li>Other duties, as requested or assigned.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices utilized in the preparation of food on a large scale basis; thorough knowledge of Department of Health and Local Board of Health Sanitation Standards.
