Las Palmas Medical Center has special expertise in EmergencyRoom Medicine (Level III Trauma), Cardiology, Women's Services, Labor &Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Neuroscience, Pediatric care, OncologyServices, and Wound Care Management.

Las Palmas Medical Center has a free-standing 40-bed,inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital, which treats patients with orthopedicconditions, strokes and other neurological diagnoses, multiple trauma, brainand spinal cord injury, arthritis and amputation.

Las Palmas Medical Center is the region's only KidneyTransplant Center. In addition to our medical services, Las Palmas MedicalCenter provides the Las Palmas LifeCare Center wellness facility.

JOB SUMMARY (Primary purpose of the position.)

Advance a patient safety program that promotes a culture of safety and the elimination of avoidable harm.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) required; If not already CPPS, must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Registered Nurse

Other licenses/certifications required by State

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field required. Master's Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Clinical background required: Three to five years healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality preferred. Healthcare experience should be recent and within a clinical setting such as Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.
