Instawork's goal is to be the essential hiring engine for small to medium sized businesses across the globe. Our first step toward this goal is to become the "the Uber of Staffing" as our technology enables us to service needs of the gig economy. We are positioned well in the hospitality space (think catering companies, multi-location restaurants, hotels, event venues, golf courses) and are looking to quickly expand our reach across the country and then the globe as well as other verticals.

Leveraging our accelerated growth, and nearly $30 million we have raised from top investors, we will continue to expand throughout the US and globally in order to revolutionize the labor market. We work with thousands of businesses in multiple markets, and are looking for Director of Partnerships based in our New York office.

We've been fortunate to be funded by some of the greatest investors in Silicon Valley: Benchmark (Bill Gurley), Spark Capital, Google Ventures, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Crunchfund, Steve Chen (co-founder of YouTube), Mike Vernal (VP of Product at Facebook), among many more.

The primary responsibility of the Director of Partnerships is to target New York businesses who may use temporary staffing services, including caterers, event venues, and restaurant groups. You'll have a defined prospect list but you'll also building relationships with both local businesses and larger national players in the hospitality space.

This is a high-energy, client-facing sales role requiring proven sales ability with a passion for closing deals and growing accounts. The ideal candidate understands and anticipates how decisions are made, and you will persistently uncover the needs and decision-making criteria of your prospects.

Your goal is to create more raving fanatics of Instawork and ensure that we become staffing and hiring solution of choice for our clients. Above all, you will be responsible for hitting your revenue targets.

About the team The Partnerships team focuses on growth through B2B2C business with retailers and multi-family building management companies. We are currently focused on working with furniture and TV retailers to offer their customers Handy services - see for more details. About the role * Plan, direct, and execute the sales plan for installation partnerships with online and offline retailers as well as channel partners. * Review operational records and report to the Senior Vice President, Growth. * Set out our partnerships strategy, lead all business development activities with new partners, and manage relationships with partners on an ongoing basis to grow revenues. * Responsible for hiring a team to grow partnerships and inputting into related product development activities. * Make decisions affecting the company's day-to- day partnership activities and operations and directs and controls its relationships with major retail partners. * Develop and implement corporate goals, marketing strategies and direct all client relationships across the U.S. * Develop the retail partnerships annual and long-term budgets and business plans in coordination with finance, business advisors, and senior leadership at our company. * Role is based in our office in New York, NY. Periodic travel required. What we're looking for * Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Economics or related field * Two (2) years of experience as a Business Development Vice President, Business Analyst/Associate or related occupation. * Must have experience in business development, enterprise sales or partnerships; Developing annual budgets for sales teams; Working on growing the market share of start-up companies; Applying knowledge in behavioral strategy; Building up b2b commercial units; Consultant and fourth-partner to Senior Executives; and Strategy consulting for partnerships between large corporate clients.
