Job Description Summary

Do you want to help people protect their pet's health and help employers enhance their benefits technology and service delivery? If so, we want to know more about you!

We are the first and largest pet health insurer in the United States, and we're looking for the best people to help us on our way to protecting the health of one million pets. In this role, you'll define and deliver platform partnership solutions to drive growth and efficiencies within Pet's partnership channels.

You will create a scalable business-to-business (B2B) technology and delivery model that ensures high quality, large-scale implementations to meet schedule commitments and project budgets, while effectively managing customer/partner engagements. We'll count on you to collaborate across many business units and manage a team focused on platform partner relationships, product releases, enhancements, service governance and defect management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Product Leadership: Creates and defines standard B2B technology integration methods and processes, effectively integrating with external partners to grow and scale partner channels.

  • Strategy Development: Works across the B2B channels to identify technical execution needs and design a vision for the business technology roadmap supporting the third-party platforms for Voluntary Benefits.

  • Business Case Development and Contract Execution: Develops partnership business cases that align with the unique needs of Pet and helps to build a sustainable competitive advantage. Onboards new partners by negotiating terms of agreements and closing complex third-party deals.

  • Partner Evaluation, Engagement and Relationship Development: Evaluates potential partners for fit across the Pet organization.

    Engages target partners by selling Pet's products and technology and evaluates each partnership to ensure there is a strategic fit. Fosters and maintains relationships toward mutually beneficial outcomes once partners are identified.

  • Relationship Management: Manages the overall health of each strategic partner relationship, focusing on partner engagement, account acquisition, and participation.

  • Service Delivery: Oversees existing third-party platform relationships to ensure seamless deployments, enhancements, and launches.

  • Marketing & Participation: Ensures the successful execution of marketing, participation campaigns, and front-end UI enhancements, with a drive for measurable outcomes and revenue yield.

  • Service Governance: Establishes contract, compensation, and service governance frameworks for Nationwide Pet partner platforms in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Oversees associates, including performance management, coaching, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow and organization planning, day-to-day management, hiring and placement and disciplinary actions for direct and possibly indirect reports.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to AVP, Sales - Pet. Leads a team of 4 professionals.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree with studies in business, insurance, or information technology preferred. MBA or other graduate level education preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: P&C license required. PMP, CSPO, CSM certifications preferred.

Experience: Typically, ten or more years of experience in solution delivery leadership roles and three or more years of experience with SCRUM, Lean, Six Sigma, project management, and product development.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Ability to lead teams in the delivery of multiple, large-scale, multi-month projects simultaneously.

Leadership skills, with capacity to break silos, drive change and inspire. Proven ability to assess organizational strengths and gaps and motivate individuals and teams to embrace and meet objectives. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience in establishing relationships and presence within the benefits or insurance space with a proven experience in reaching and exceeding goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills with business, technical, and contractual issues

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.

Mission Integration supports day of launch activities from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Florida and Vandenberg Space Force Base California. The selected candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with program office, engineering, customers and contractor personnel. The successful candidate will join a team of highly skilled professionals that are making innovative advancements.</p><p>Work Model: This position sits in El Segundo, CA, at LAAFB in the SSC/LE Program Office, and is part of a customer-facing program office team.
