Director of Partner and Field Marketing

To support Apttus' growth and visibility, the company is hiring a Director of Partner Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the company's partner marketing function globally, including objectives, strategy, planning, execution and engagement. This is an ideal role for an initiative-driven practitioner who likes to build and grow a function. The role will report into the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Corporate Communications.

What You'll Do

  • Establish strong, productive relationships with Apttus' salesforce and partners

  • Build a partner marketing plan for Apttus that leverages the entire marketing mix

  • Strategize and rationalize marketing emphasis with various platform partners like Salesforce, Microsoft and IBM as well as systems integrators like Accenture, Deloitte, PwC and others build relationships with their alliance and marketing teams and establish co-marketing plans

  • Storyboard and develop messaging that spotlights Apttus' value, strategy, partnerships, solutions

  • Collaborate, contribute to integrated marketing campaigns and help drive lead generation through partner marketing activity execute deliverables

  • Be a champion by socializing partner marketing to the business and representing the function publicly (events, speakerships, AR, PR, social media, blogging, webinars, ets.)

  • Support writing efforts for the corporate blog, social media and intranet

The Experience and Skills We Desire

  • 8-12 years of experience, preferably in enterprise software, technology spaces

  • Proven experience and exec moxie working with large SIs (e.g. Accenture, Deloitte, PwC) and platform partners (Salesforce, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud)

  • Passionate, creative, professional marketer with front line textbook experience establishing partner marketing plans at fast-growth companies

  • Ability to establish relationships with Sales, partners, executives quickly

  • Teamwork-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly strategic, consultative player who can plan (think) and execute (do)

  • Proven ability to understand industry, business, financial goals, and products, and apply that acumen to decisions on partner marketing direction

  • Understanding of integrated marketing, and experience with the entire marketing mix

  • Strong story boarding, message development skills

  • Top-notch writing ability with penchant for speed and accuracy

The Digital Marketing Strategy team is responsible for working with client and product marketing managers to develop and execute digital multi-channel programs using a marketing automation platform. What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Engagement Marketing Manager? * Supervise the Engagement Marketing team. * Apply marketing strategy and technique, including test & learn and optimization approaches, to oversight and execution of automated marketing programs * Apply project management and communication best practices to develop, execute and report results of marketing programs * Partner with marketers to champion new techniques using marketing automation, impacting campaign design, points within the customer journey, content development, engagement strategies and conversion techniques * Partner with digital channel teams to improve data quality, reporting, and segmentation strategies in an effort to optimize effectiveness of each channel in support of marketing objectives and program results * Establish governance model for managing marketing automation platform, including role definition, user rights and administration * Act as a marketing automation advocate – lead brainstorming sessions to help marketers better understand possible uses of marketing automation.
