Job Summary:
About the Position:
This position is a part of our Transportation department within the Facilities Planning and Management Division at UW-Madison. This position will assist the Assistant Vice Chancellor as part of the Transportation Services senior leadership team in the parking compliance, facility maintenance, parking operations, fiscal, administrative, and customer interface functions of the department, which provides an array of parking-related services for the University campus community. Will also manage and assist with developing and overseeing production, communication, and/or distribution of informational material related to Transportation Services including maps, brochures, permits, orientation material, construction projects, delays in service, etc. This position will implement and supervise standard operating procedures for ensuring that Transportation services meet or exceed customer expectations which includes complaint resolution by responding and surveying customers for feedback. Will oversee the parking operations (parking compliance, field services, facility maintenance, and parking operations units) and parking services (special events and marketing customer services, appeals and communications team) units. The expected schedule for this position is Monday
Friday 8:00 a.m.
4:30 p.m.
About our Transportation Services department:
UW Transportation Services is a department within Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) on the UW-Madison campus. We serve a variety of customers with a diverse set of parking and transportation needs. Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. Primary functions include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options.
About the Division of Facilities Planning& Management (FP&M):
The Division of Facilities Planning& Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of UW-Madison in the university's education, research, and outreach activities. We are responsible for everything from the building projects that change the face of campus to the flowers
that beautify the grounds.
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and direction for the institution on parking issues. Develops and implements the resource allocation plan, budget, policy development, and communication to ensure institutional parking operational needs are met.

Education:
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree business, public administration or related field
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in business, public administration, or related field with an additional 5 years of work experience in a position comparable in scope and complexity
5 years experience managing complex parking/transportation programs
Project management experience
Knowledge of urban planning or transportation planning and best practices
Experience with short- and long-term budget forecasting
Exceptional communication, customer service, and collaboration skills
Driver's License in accordance with UW- Risk Management requirements
Preferred:
Experience managing parking/transportation programs in a higher education or medical campus environment
CAPP or other professional accreditation
Experience with managing special event parking on a higher education campus.

Salary:
Minimum $145,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
The minimum rate for this position is $145,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
