MISSION / SUMMARY:
Summary: The Director of Operations/Sales - Packaging Machinery is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Procurement of Global Machinery. The candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, driving business results and collaborative leadership to assure GPI's business goals are achieved. This role will have Global Interface between Business Units and our Packaging Machinery Department "PMD" to assure system wide RIMI profitability is maintained or grown, and that market pricing, controls and vision are implemented. The goal is to drive paperboard growth through creative machinery technology solutions.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
Lead Strategic and Financial Responsibility for PMD (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement)
Monthly Reporting ensuring that the business objects are met or exceeded
Develop plans and strategies for business growth globally
Manage multiple concurrent projects and client relationships while maintaining a high-level of customer service and responsiveness
Direct the work of the team to ensure the design, analysis, procurement, manufacturing and assembly is achieved on time and on budget
Lead New Product Development of Machinery
Leading a scouting and test & learn operating model that will deliver a pipeline of Technology based projects/ programs using both internal and external open innovation frameworks & partnerships
Co-Lead Trade show planning and execution
Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base related to Packaging Machinery
REQUIRED: EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related field. MBA preferred
Minimum 10+ years experience in an Operations / Engineering / Sales Leadership role within a multinational organization
7+ years of related electrical or mechanical design experience
Experience managing multinational customer and accounts
Experience managing a business P&L of more than $100M
Experience managing global contracts of more than $100M
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower teams to achieve goals and objectives
Previous business budgeting and/or business planning experience
