Job Summary:

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading, optimizing, and increasing the organizational capability and effectiveness to provide the most reliable products and services within the event rental industry. You will ensure reliability by delivering all inventory to all event sites the first time on time in good condition installed correctly in a timely fashion. Upon completion of all events the inventory will be removed from the event site on time in one trip and returned to the warehouse in the same condition it was delivered to the event. Managing the reliability of the company will ensure all customer expectations are met through execution of quality control, inventory control, training, safety, fleet management and labor management.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate a team of 150+ Project Managers, Asset Managers, Dispatchers, Installers, Crew Leads, Fleet Techs, Power Generation Techs, and Warehouse Staff.

  • Develop and drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization and hold the team accountable to achieving measurable improvements upon existing standards.

  • Manage the accuracy and quality of all equipment loaded for delivery and returned to the warehouse including quality control to ensure equipment is cleaned, repaired and returned to stock.

  • Implement changes to develop, manage, and evaluate processes that ensure reliability and successful execution of events.

  • Accurately manage all inventory to ensure quality of product and trustworthy data within the ERP.

  • Oversight of all pulling, staging, loading, unloading, and return to stock for all departments including Tenting, Tables, Chairs, Staging, Flooring, Portable Restrooms, and Power Generation.

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all facilities, yards, and fleet.

  • Provide cost-analysis for equipment purchases and repairs.

  • Work within designated Operations Labor and Non-Labor COGS budget to control sub rentals and consumable supplies through proactive management.

  • Interface with Account Executives, Project & Event Managers and Management Team to ensure all paperwork and documentation is given to the appropriate staff and completed as outlined within SOPs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Management, Warehousing, Distribution, Dispatching, and Inventory Control

  • Demonstrated results building, maintaining and improving reliable products and services that meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong focus on accountability and logistics

  • Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Spanish bilingual communication skills a plus

The Director of Operations will be responsible for directing all extracting, packaging, manufacturing and logistics activities to assure that Curaleaf delivers high quality products while maintaining the most efficient product cost structure. The Director of Operations is accountable for meeting production demand that supports Corporate top line while improving efficiency to bottom line growth. This position is responsible for all day-to-day operations, including purchasing, production planning, manufacturing and shipping of quality products with continuous quality and process improvements to ensure attainment of operational goals, tactics, and priorities that drive business results with a focus on quality. Leadership * Maintain a strong presence in associated facilities to effectively coach and support operations teams * Ensure manufacturing environments are brand appropriate (i.e. positive, reassuring, energetic, encouraging, educational and welcoming) * Ensure operational priorities, processes and procedures are communicated and understood * Assure the cost-effective manufacturing of quality pharma-grade product * Responsible for and working closely with the Director of Cultivation, State Presidents, and Director of Dispensaries, in the planning of all capital improvement projects * Communicate often and effectively cross-functionally to continually educate manufacturing crew regarding product knowledge and brand initiatives * Partner with Compliance Team to monitor and maintain proper manufacturing compliance controls with all federal/state regulations * Supervisor of Plant Managers with more than 1 facility in a state * Responsible for the Trim & Pack function * Review & manage any additional packaging areas when needed * Extraction-responsible for ensuring quality and quantity of finished product * Responsible for any additional Manufacturing that occur within the facility (kitchens, etc.), SQF and food safety experience necessary * Understanding of common Warehousing tools and how to use lean methodology to increase space for product * Distribution (for 3rd party sellers, retail)-experience with selecting, partnering and managing these vendors * Customer Service-provide a high level of customer service both internally and externally * Supply Chain (specifically sales and operations planning) * Facilities-maintenance and capital project management * Ensure Quality in all functional areas * MRP Coordinator (responsible for state-level purchasing) Qualifications * A high-touch, credible, visible leader who could establish instant credibility and inspire the team * Demonstrated track record in team building and driving operational efficiencies * 5+ years' experience in manufacturing or logistics is a plus * Bachelor's degree in business or related field required * Outstanding people skills, organizational skills and a passionate leadership style * Start-up experience, a plus * Logistics and warehousing experience * Lean/Six Sigma methodology preferred * Retail/CPG experience highly preferred * Team player with the ability to gain consensus through collaboration and open dialogue * A sense of urgency, high energy, and hands-on approach * Experience in the cannabis industry not required, but a plus * Ability to pass a background check * Must be 21 years of age * Current Driver's license required Curaleaf an Equal Opportunity Employer Curaleaf Phoenix AZ
