About Us

We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving all those in need in the Sacramento area. We have been a level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home since 2011 and were the first to earn that designation in Sacramento. We offer integrated, comprehensive and supportive services to maximize health outcomes. About the Position

The Director of Operation will help to ensure the smooth operation of patient services, including patient support services, systems and process management, as well as project oversight and management.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations.

  • Ensure that operational processes stay within agreed upon budgets and timelines.

  • Implement, manage and evaluate operation processes and procedures, in accordance with the standards and procedures set out by the organization.

  • Assist COO with project management and implementation of new process and procedures.

  • Helps to ensure operational compliance with collaboration with the Compliance Team.

  • Helps to monitor performance with collaboration of the HR Team.

  • Provides and analyzes productivity and quality reports

  • Participates and encourages participation in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to the provision of quality healthcare

  • Leadership-Actively assumes oversight of operational departments. Demonstrates data driven decisions. Holds direct reports accountable.

  • Managing change with effective communication serves as a coach and mentor for direct reports. Clearly and effectively outlines goals and objectives, sets and communicates expectations.

  • Provides productive and quality analysis of reports.

  • Ethical and honest behavior- acts with honesty, integrity, and personal ethics

  • Ability to delegate and monitor results empowers supervisors and managers to manage direct reports and provide feedback. Communicates frequently with direct reports to provide guidance and direction.

  • Fiscally responsible understands budget process, staffing and is able to stay within budgeted parameters.

Education/Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience as an operations manager or director in an FQHC or large multi-specialty medical clinic.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

  • Licenses and or certifications must be kept current and in good standing

These hospitals are located in Northern California, and the chosen candidate will need to live within the area that you oversee. The ROD supports the Hospital Managers and Medical Directors to meet goals and foster an excellent service culture and working environment.
