The Director of Operations will be responsible for driving operational efficiencies and effectiveness in the Retail Services group and by reviewing, evaluating and implementing business processes that drive performance excellence throughout the retailer account management team. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. The goal is to augment the efficiency of the company's operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development and execution of processes and systems in support of front-end programs and backend systems. (ERP and CRM) that support business requirements and exceptional performance.
Project Leadership for all Retail channel partner AND Consumer based initiatives including the development of project requirements by ensuring the scope adequately serves the business needs as is supported by quantifiable ROI benchmarks. Includes the plans/strategies to ensure learning/change management programs needed to ensure a successful deployment.
Development & deployment of key performance indicator metrics used in assessing performance factors. (i.e. Perfect order Performance and Scorecards). Drive improvement plans and timelines in conjunction with Sales Director.
Must be able to deliver effective business updates/presentations, effectively communicate with external clients, associates, business partners and executives at all levels of the organization.
Investigating customer satisfaction and reporting issues.
Ability to develop a team of direct reports.
Ensuring financial targets and other agreed targets are met within the department.
Handle negotiations with suppliers to drive cost down and improve ROI.
10+ Years proven experience as Director of Operations or equivalent position
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (supply chain, customer service, warehouse management, finance).
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics
Excellent business judgment, problem-solving, project management skills.
Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
BSC/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSC/MA will be a plus
