    What You Will Be Doing

Responsible for the effective planning, direction and leadership of the Operations Department which includes Production, Supply Chain, and Purchasing. You will lead and manage department staff as well as process to support manufacturing in a GMP environment. Responsible for the efficient use of department resources and use of continuous improvement techniques to reduce waste and optimize labor utilization.

  • Oversees all aspects of the organizations manufacturing processes, including maintenance and facilities, production, shipping and receiving, supply chain and special projects.

  • Provides strategic leadership to ensure lean manufacturing and engineering support for contract manufacturing facility.

  • Works with companys quality departments to ensure operations and personnel are in compliance with all pertinent regulatory bodies including FDA, NSF and OSHA.

  • Identifies projects related to operations, consistent with the companys goals and objectives and necessary to maintain the organizations competitiveness is the marketplace. Provides leadership to implement identified projects.

  • Provides recommendations for revisions or enhancements to schedules, resource allocation and production requirements.

  • Participates in annual strategic planning and budgeting process to develop plans in support of business development and global corporate initiatives.

  • Reviews financial budgets for Operations Department and supporting departments.

  • Monitors and mentors Management staff on spending in Operations Departments against approved and amended budgets.

  • Manages and mentors staff resources and organization structure to adequately align with and meet business objectives for new and existing clients.

  • Participates in tradeshows as necessary.

  • Monitor and review performance of direct reports, and provide prompt and objective coaching, mentoring and counseling. Resolve performance, job satisfaction, and interpersonal issues, balancing employee and department needs.
    What You Need for this Position


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ Years' in operations/manufacturing role

  • Experience ensuring efficient resource utilization, scheduling, unit production and supply chain management

  • Dry powder and/or pharmaceutical experience preferred

  • Project Management

  • 5+ Years' Leadership and Supervisory experience

  • In-depth knowledge of process manufacturing operations and packaging operations - contract manufacturing knowledge preferred

  • Understanding of powders and/or tableting processes or similar

  • SOPs and GMPs

Minimum Requirements Job Requirements: * Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of hotel operations. * Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively select, motivate, develop and retain staff. * Ability to manage change effectively with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. * Team building effectiveness with superb organizational skills to include time management, delegation and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs * Ability to create a fun, rewarding and professional work environment. * Hilton experience preferred. * Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity; must be able to sit, stand and walk for hours at a time. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. * Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
