  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for Nutrition Services by setting and communicating a clear vision, defining success, determining measurements of success and maximizing the efforts of individuals and teams towards the achievement of goals.

  • Service: Oversee the system-wide operations of Nutrition Services. Serve on committees and liaison with other departments as representative for food and nutrition related services.

  • Service: Design and/or implement efficient services, offer revenue enhancements, monitor expenses, benchmark, encourage service excellence and provide effective communication. Develop, promote and maintain professional relationships to facilitate an environment conducive to customer service and high-quality patient care. Participate in community benefit and outreach.

  • People: Oversee staff development, evaluate job performance, offer constructive feedback, discipline as necessary and provide on-going coaching to ensure activities are performed within department and St. Elizabeth Healthcare policy.

  • Project Management: Apply knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently.

  • Finance: Create, implement and control designated operating and capital budgets. Monitor and adjust staffing to meet the needs of the patient demand ensuring staff productivity.

  • Finance: Utilize daily, weekly, monthly financial management tools. Prepare, present, track and self-report all threshold capital business plans.

  • Quality: Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards. Plan and conduct performance improvement (PI) studies, evaluate results and implement action plans.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Masters degree

  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

  • Licensed dietitian in the state of where work is being performed.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Joint Commission standards

  • State licensure and health department regulations

Kind and Length of Experience:

  • 5 years of management experience in healthcare institution
