As the Director of Nursing, you will work in our addictions program in Trenton, Mercer County, NJ. The individual will deliver high qualility of care and has excellent customr service. The individual will understand regulations and accrediation stands and have a high attention to detail.
Provides oversight of the program's nursing services through direct supervision of staff and administrative oversight.
Reports to the Program Director and assists in the development and maintenance of written objectives, policies and procedures, an organizational plan, and a quality assurance program for nursing services, and reviewing all nursing policies and procedures at least annually;
In conjunction with the Program Director, Vice President and the governing authority of the program, planning and budgeting for nursing services.
Ensuring the coordination and integration of nursing services with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client;
Ensuring that the program complies with required nursing staffing patterns;
Assisting in the development of written job descriptions for the nursing staff, and assigning duties of the nursing staff;
Participating in staff orientation and staff education activities, when applicable;
Participating in team conferences with the multidisciplinary team;
Works with Program Director and supervisors in addressing concerns related to the program;
Participates in meetings and agency sponsored trainings
Approving the content and location of emergency kits or carts, medications including controlled substances, equipment and supplies, the expiration dates of medically related time-sensitive items, the frequency with which these items are reviewed for appropriateness and completeness, and assigning qualified staff to perform these reviews;
Position also administratively oversees nursing care throughout the organization including developing nursing policies and procedures along with agency leadership, co-facilitating all-agency nursing meetings in conjunction with agency medical director, implementing nursing best practices throughout the organization in conjunction with agency leadership, and conducting quality reviews of nursing protocols and documentation. This aspect of the position does not require direct supervision of staff outside of designated program;

Registered Professional Nurse (RN) currently licensed in New Jersey;
One (1) year of full-time experience, or the full-time equivalent, in nursing supervision or nursing administration in the management of addictions in a licensed Substance Use Disorder Treatment facility OR
Three (3) years of experience working in a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program or facility;
Specific training and experience in substance abuse treatment, including detoxification services;
Experience delivering services to adults and children with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities;
Experience in nursing administration and management
