Director Of Nursing

Looking for a Director of Nursing for a top behavioral hospital in Columbus, OH, which offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults and adolescents. The hospital is dedicated to improving the lives of others.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning and directing the delivery of quality general and psychiatric nursing care consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization. Duties include staffing, training and development, developing and administering policies and procedures, standards of performance and communication regarding nursing issues with staff and administration.

Requirements

• Postgraduate Degree in nursing or a related field; or the knowledge and skills associated with an advanced degree; or a written plan to obtain these qualifications. A related field may include healthcare/business administration.
• Current unencumbered license to practice by the OH board of nursing.
• Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities preferred.
• Previous leadership experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
• Direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients also preferred.
