RN Interim Consulting Opportunity - All Expenses Covered

Diamond has nationwide, interim positions for Behavioral Health Nurses. Must be a licensed RN. Work occurs on location at contracted hospital program(s). Interim assignments vary in duration and may lead to full time employment opportunities.

Seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide an environment for effective relationship-based nursing care and to ensure that the department consistently provides high quality care with positive patient outcomes.

  • Ensuring efficient fiscal operation of the Department of Psychiatry

  • Seeking and acting upon patient, family and staff feedback

  • Promoting, developing and evaluating processes and systems for patient care

  • Leading the development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards of care

  • Evaluating the outcomes of patient care to recommend and integrate appropriate changes

  • Ensuring compliance with hospital, state, federal and licensing agency regulatory standards

  • Leading and/or participating in Quality Improvement (QI) groups and other multidisciplinary meetings

  • Collaboration with community health organizations to enhance the hospital's community presence

Requirements/Qualifications

  • MSN with psychiatric certification, a plus; or a BSN with a minimum of 5 years of psychiatric experience

  • Certification and/or Licensure in a clinical specialty area such as Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Ability to effectively implement services in a multidisciplinary setting and in multi-site facilities

  • Understanding of and ability to operate under contract management

  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish a plus

  • Strong training skills, a plus

Job Functions As Assistant Director of Nursing Services RN, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Responsibilities include the functions of the Corporate Clinical and Clinical Reimbursement Services Department. This position serves as a liaison between the Director of Nursing and the nursing staff. Actively participate in the development and achievement of nursing department goals and objectives including staff development functions/responsibilities and educational programming. Assist in the implementation of and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with corporate and external regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with various department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of an accurate and effective documentation system. Provide direct resident care as staffing patterns demand. Assure effective interaction with resident and families. Attend and participate in department/facility meeting, as required. Assist surveyors and inspectors to facilitate regulatory compliance, as per the direction of the director of Clinical Services. Completion of preceptor training is required. Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors. May be trained and assigned to perform the Customer Care Liaison duties as needed. Perform other duties, as assigned. No supervisory function. Education & Experience Requirements * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state. * Must possess a current CPR certification. * Must have a minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility.
