Director of Nursing

East Side Endoscopy Center (ESNY), an established endoscopy ASC located in Gramercy Park area of Manhattan, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and quality driven Director of Nursing!

This position reports to the Center Administrator.

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing include:

  • Daily clinical staffing and efficient flow of patients through the endoscopy experience.

  • Recruit, hire, train and assist in evaluating all clinical personnel.

  • Direct supervision of clinical staff in the center.

  • Assuring compliance to all clinical policies and procedures by the Physicians and staff

  • Responsible for the agendas, meeting formats, and minutes for multiple committees, including but not limited to: Quality Assurance, Infection Control and Peer Review.

  • Monitoring all procedure area purchases, assisting with the preparation of annual budget in conjunction with the Administrator and Medical Directors.

  • Organizing and managing all paperwork and studies necessary for continued certification and accreditation.

  • Strong focus on quality of care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • BS or equivalent college degree preferred

  • Current NY RN License

  • Management experience in an ASC is strongly preferred

  • Previous GI experience a plus, preferably two years with current membership in S.G.N.A.

  • ACLS certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment

  • Familiarity with state, Medicare and accreditation requirements (AAAHC or Joint Commission)

  • Proficient in computer programs including Excel and Word, EMR, and prior experience with billing systems/software a plus

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
