What You'll Do

As Director of New Business, you'll be a leading driver of business growth at Madwell. You'll develop the process and strategy for our new business program in alignment with our agency's broader strategic direction. While you'll report directly to the VP of Client Services and work closely with senior agency leaders, it'll be you (yep, you) owning the approach new business at Madwell.

Specifically, you'll be:

  • Creating and executing a proactive new business strategy, from identifying and researching future prospects through to developing disruptive outreach communications

  • Leading agency response to RFPs and inbound new business opportunities

  • Working to strengthen our overall narrative when it comes to pitch strategy, proposals, and articulation of our services and capabilities

  • Strategically growing our client portfolio

  • Working across our multidisciplinary teams in pursuit of agency-wide business goals

  • Working with senior agency leadership to develop content that establishes Madwell as a thought leader

  • Networking with potential clients at trade and industry events

  • Establishing new business best practices and organizational structure alongside senior leadership

  • Constantly seeking opportunities where Madwell can fill gaps in the marketplace

Our Must-Haves:

  • Deep experience pitching and winning business with emerging and mid-size consumer lifestyle brands across a wide range of verticals

  • Proven ability to manage up to senior agency leaders

  • A confident and proactive approachbut not just a "salesperson"

  • A driven curiosity for the marketing landscape

  • A cool head under pressure, and the ability to have multiple wheels turning at once

  • A strong point of view and the ability to defend it (and the great work that our agency produces) when needed

  • Second-to-none communication skills

Where You've Been:

  • 6+ years in a new business development role at a high-growth creative agency

  • Proven team leadership experience

  • A proven track record of growth

Position Summary Reporting to the Head of Markets Tech F&BM, with a second line into the Chief Business Technologist (CBT). The primary function of the role is to provide comprehensive financial and strategic support to the Chief Business Technologist (CBT) as part of the Markets Technology organization of circa 4,500 FTE accounting for close to $1.9bn of expenses. Key Responsibilities * Be a trusted business partner to enable technology executions by managing overall planning, forecasting, communications and reporting * Lead the management of organizational design, workforce management, location strategy and associated governance * Lead the implementation of the CIB Technology F&BM framework within line of business * Work across technology executives and teams to develop and maintain a multiyear plan, strategy and roadmap * Analyze and propose process improvements including automation * Develop and organize executive-level monthly business reviews to all stakeholders – ensuring all technical content is executive friendly and clear * Drive the annual financial planning process through engagement with stakeholders * Manage global real estate footprint for the technology group supported. * Working with the rest of the team to understand impact of workforce management, location strategy and real estate on portfolio's financials and execution. Making strategic recommendations that can proactively identify risks. * Manage business continuity and resiliency plans for the technology team * Lead a F&BM team of between 6-8 direct reports, as well as offshore indirect resources, ensuring continuous focus on progression and development of the people agenda * Relevant industry experience, ideally coupled with strategy, business management and financial experience * Analytical mind with program and/or project management background with the ability to drill into details, work across barriers * Must be organized and able to manage multiple timelines across many programs. * Must have strong communications ability – written and oral * Ideal experience/background in finance, technology, and operations * Ability to prioritize, multi task and drive the agenda under pressure * Strong managerial experience with the ability to work in a matrix organization Jpmorgan Chase & Co.
